Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of reducing the inhalation toxicity of functional fluids by incorporating into a functional fluid an effective amount of a copolymer which is obtainable by copolymerizing ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide with an initiator monool or diol, said copolymer having a degree of unsaturation of less than about 0.01 meq/g.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to additive mixtures containing at least one additive as component A with detergent effect and at least one partly- or completely-neutralised fatty acid as component B. The invention further relates to the use of said additive mixture for adding to fuel and lubricant compositions and fuel and lubricant compositions and concentrates containing said additive mixture.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of fatty acid salts of alkoxylated oligoamines (I), whereby: A represents alkylene groups having 2 to 8 C atoms; R represents C7 to C23 alkyl groups or monounsaturated or polyunsaturated C7 to C23 alkenyl groups; Z represents C1 to C8 alkylene groupings, C3 to C8 cycloalkylene groupings or C6 to C12 arylene or aryl alkylene groupings; m represents 0 or a whole number ranging from 1 to 5, and the sum of all variables x has a value ranging from 50 % to 300 % of (m+3). Said fatty acid salts of alkoxylated oligoamines are used as lubricity improvers for petroleum products, especially for gasolines and middle distillates.

Abstract:
Particulate polystyrene preparations capable of being filtered are obtained by anionic polymerisation of styrene in a non-aqueous dispersion. Polymerisation is carried out in an aliphatic hydrocarbon as dispersing agent and with a styrene-diene-styrene three-block copolymer as auxiliary dispersing agent, for example based on polybutadiene or polyisoprene.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improver in the form of a mixture of at least polysiloxane antifoaming agent and at least partially or totally neutralised fat acid. The inventive fuel and additive containing said mixture are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to additive mixtures comprising a) the reaction product formed after reaction of a dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof with a long-chain, aliphatic amine; and b) a natural fatty acid ester; c) the use of said additive mixture for improving the lubricity of fuels and for improving engine resistance to wear, in addition to fuel and lubricant compositions containing said additive mixtures.
