Abstract: Procedimiento para la purificación de difosfitos orgánicos de la fórmula general (I)**Fórmula** en la que R1, R2, R3 y R4 representan independientemente uno de otro hidrógeno, alquilo C1-C6 no sustituido de cadena recta o ramificado, alcoxi C1-C6 no sustituido de cadena recta o ramificado, arilo C6-C10, cloro, formilo, acilo o (alcoxi C1- C6)carbonilo, en la que dos radicales R1 a R4 adyacentes conjuntamente con los átomos de carbono del núcleo de benceno a los cuales están unidos, pueden representar también un sistema de anillo condensado con otro anillo de benceno, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11 y R12 representan independientemente uno de otro hidrógeno, alquilo C1-C6 no sustituido de cadena recta o ramificado, alcoxi C1-C6 no sustituido de cadena recta o ramificado, arilo C6-C10, cloro, formilo, acilo o (alcoxi C1-C6)carbonilo, en la que dos radicales R5 a R12 adyacentes conjuntamente con los átomos de carbono del núcleo de benceno al cual están unidos, pueden representar también un sistema de anillo condensado con otro anillo de benceno, en el cual un difosfito orgánico crudo de la fórmula general (I), que está disuelto por lo menos parcialmente en un primer solvente (L1) que es elegido de entre (alquil C1-C4)bencenos, precipita por adición de un segundo solvente (L2), que es elegido de entre metanol, etanol, etilenglicoldimetiléter y mezclas de ellos.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol by reacting phenol with isobutylene in presence of an aluminum phenoxide catalyst, comprising i) preparing an aluminum phenoxide catalyst and phenol comprising mixture a) by mix-ing aluminum metal with phenol, and activating the catalyst by heating the mixture to a temperature of 100 to 180° C., and ii) carrying out a reaction b) by reacting mixture a) with an isobutylene comprising stream comprising 20 to 90% by weight of isobutylene and 10 to 80% by weight of 1-butene and/or 2-butene, which reaction is carried out under pressure and the maximum pressure is 5 to 20 bar.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods of purifying organic diphosphites of the general formula (l) (See Formula I) wherein a crude organic diphosphite of the general formula (l) which is at least partly dissolved in a first solvent (L1) selected from among the group consisting of alkylbenzenes, aryl alkyl ethers, chlorobenzene and mixtures thereof is precipitated by admixing with a second solvent (L2) selected from among the group consisting of linear C1-C4-alkanols, ethylene glycol di(C1-C4-alkyl) ethers and mixtures thereof. Also provided are uses a transition metal catalyst comprising at least one organic diphosphite (l) obtained by the aforementioned purification method as ligand for hydroformylation, hydrocyanation or hydrogenation.
