Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentrated premixture containing piperazine and at least one alkanolamine for an adsorbent with a freezing point as low as possible.SOLUTION: This premixture for producing an adsorbent for removing acidic gas from fluid streams includes at least one alkanolamine, piperazine and water, and in this case, the premixture has a total amine content of higher than 65 mass% and the molar ratio of water to piperazine in the premixture is 1.6 to 4.8. The premixture is excellent in low freezing point. The premixture is diluted to be an instantaneously usable adsorbent using water and/or the alkanolamine.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which carbon dioxide can be sufficiently removed from a fluid flow and regeneration of an absorbent can be performed with relatively small energy cost at that time.SOLUTION: The absorbent for removing carbon dioxide from a gaseous flow includes at least one amine and at least one aqueous solution of aminocarboxylic acid and/or aminosulfonic acid. Energy necessary for regeneration of the absorbent can be reduced by using amino carboxylic acid or aminosulfonic acid together with amine.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a continuous method for separation of a mixture of hydrocarbons by extractive distillation having a mixture of a polar aprotic solvent and water as a selective solvent, in a system comprising an extractive distillation column and an outgas column, characterized in that the method is carried out under continuous measurement of the water content of the selective solvent via NIR spectroscopy, wherein the measured values from the continuous measurement of the water content of the selective solvent are compared to a specified target value and regulated to a value within a specified concentration range above and below the target value by addition or exfiltration of water or by addition of polar aprotic solvent.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Process for contacting two incompletely miscible phases whose contact is accompanied by heat evolution owing to mass transfer and/or a chemical reaction, in which a first phase is introduced into the lower region of a contactor and a second phase into the upper region of the contactor and conducted counter to the first phase in the contactor to obtain a treated first phase and an exhausted second phase, characterized in that a portion of the exhausted second phase is recycled into the contactor at at least one point between the upper region and the lower region. In the preferred embodiment, the first phase is a fluid stream comprising acidic gases, such as CO2, H2S, SO2, CS2, HCN, COS or mercaptans, and the second phase is an absorbent which comprises an aqueous solution of at least one organic and/or inorganic base.
