Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel proteins exhibiting esterase activity and mutants thereof, nucleic acid sequences coding therefor, expression cassettes, vectors and recombinant microorganisms.SOLUTION: There are disclosed a method for producing the proteins obtained by starting from Pseudomonas glumae (Burkholderia plantarii) LU 2023 and the use of the proteins for the enzymatic, in particular, enantioselective ester hydrolysis or interesterification of organic esters.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzymatic or nonenzymatic method for producing 3-methylamino-1-(thien-2-yl)propan-1-ol represented by formula (I), and further, to provide an enzyme for conducting the method, a nucleic acid sequence encoding the enzyme, an expression cassette including the nucleic acid sequence, a vector and a recombinant host organism. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following processes: (a) thiophene is reacted with a halogenated β-halopropionyl or halogenated acryloyl in the presence of a Lewis acid; wherein, either simultaneously or after the reaction but prior to isolating a reaction product, a hydrogen halide is passed through the reaction product to obtain a 3-halo-1-(thien-2-yl)propan-1-one; and (b) the propanone obtained in the step (a) is reduced, and subsequently, the reduced product is reacted with methylamine without isolating the reaction product as appropriate. The invention relates to a method for the biocatalytic production of ambroxan by means of a polypeptide having the activity of a homofarnesol-ambroxan cyclase and representing a novel class of enzymes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel enzymatically catalyzed method for the production of aliphatic primary amines, which method comprises the enzymatic oxidation of a primary aliphatic alcohol catalyzed by an alcohol dehydrogenase, amination of the resulting oxocompound catalyzed by a transaminase and optionally coupled with an enzymatically catalyzed regeneration of the consumed cofactor; recombinant expression systems and microorganisms procuring the required enzyme activities; and bioreactors for performing such methods; as well as the use of the obtained amines in organic synthesis, in particular for preparing organic polymers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for production of optically active (4S)-4-hydroxy-2,6,6-trimethyl-cyclohex-2-ene-1-one derivatives of formula (I) and a method for production of (3S, 3'S)-astaxanthine of formula (III) including the above method.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a multi-stage process for producing substituted, optically active alcohols, comprising an enzyme-catalyzed synthesis step, in particular a synthesis step which is catalyzed by an alcohol dehydrogenase. The inventive method is particularly suitable for producing phenylephrine, i.e. 3-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-methylamino-ethyl]-phenol.
