Abstract:
A polymer having the following monomers in polymerized form (in weight %): A) 49-60% of a first monomer which is selected from the group consisting of methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate, ethyl methacrylate, C3-alkyl acrylate, C3-alkyl methacrylate, C4-alkyl acrylate, C4-alkyl methacrylate and mixtures thereof, B) 30-40% methacrylic acid, C) 4-15% acrylic acid, and D) 0.02-0.30% of a crosslinking agent having at least two allyl moieties, wherein the sum of the amounts of monomers A to D is 100%. A hair styling composition containing the polymer and use of the polymer or of the hair styling composition for styling hair also are disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for making a copolymer comprising polymerizing the monomers in a solution comprising the monomers and a solvent, wherein the solvent comprises water and an alcohol. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the copolymer obtainable by this method (“the copolymer according to the present invention”) and to the use of the copolymer according to the present invention for styling or for fixing human hair. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of a more generally defined copolymer for styling or for fixing human hair, and for providing high gloss to the hair that is styled or fixed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a micropowder, wherein the particles of the micropowder have a Dv10 value of at least 2 micrometer and the micropowder comprises mesopores which have an average pore diameter in the range of from 2 to 50 nm and comprise, based on the weight of the micropowder, at least 95 weight-% of a microporous aluminum-free zeolitic material of structure type MWW containing titanium and zinc.

Abstract:
A continuous process for the preparation of propylene oxide, comprising (i) providing a liquid feed stream comprising propene, hydrogen peroxide, acetonitrile, water, dissolved potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and optionally propane; (ii) passing the liquid feed stream provided in (i) into an epoxidation reactor comprising a catalyst comprising a titanium zeolite of structure type MWW, and subjecting the liquid feed stream to epoxidation reaction conditions; (iii) removing an effluent stream from the epoxidation reactor; wherein the concentration of the dissolved potassium dihydrogen phosphate in the liquid feed stream is at least 10% of the solubility limit of the potassium dihydrogen phosphate in the liquid feed stream.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a zeolitic material comprising the steps of: (1) providing a mixture comprising one or more sources for YO2 and one or more alkenyltrialkylammonium cation R1R2R3R4N+-containing compounds as structure directing agent; and (2) crystallizing the mixture obtained in step (1) to obtain a zeolitic material; wherein Y is a tetravalent element, and wherein R1, R2, and R3 independently from one another stand for alkyl; and R4 stands for alkenyl, as well as to zeolitic materials which may be obtained according to the inventive process and to their use.
