Abstract: Procedimiento para la separación continua, por destilación, de piperazina a partir de una mezcla de etilendiamina-piperazina, bajo presión y a temperatura elevada, descargándose la etilendiamina por la cabeza y la piperazina por la cola de una columna de destilación, caracterizado porque la piperazina se somete directamente a un transporte en circuito cerrado, haciéndose pasar en este caso a través de una unidad de evaporación que se hace trabajar a una temperatura comprendida entre aproximadamente 160ºC y aproximadamente 170ºC y se recicla hasta la columna de destilación y se purga al cabo de un tiempo de residencia comprendido entre aproximadamente 30 minutos y aproximadamente 60 minutos en el transporte en circuito cerrado, en estado de vapor, a partir de una salida lateral situada en la región inferior de la columna de destilación.
