Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a tablet, which comprises the steps of (A) filling a starting material, which is in a solid form, in a first open cavity, which is formed by a first punch and a die, to obtain a second open cavity, which is filled at least partly with the starting material, (B) closing the second open cavity by a second punch to obtain a first closed cavity, (C) compressing the starting material at a compression temperature below 37°C by moving at least one out of the first punch and the second punch to obtain a second closed cavity, which has a smaller volume than the first closed cavity, which results in formation of a trapped tablet of the starting material in the second closed cavity, (D) removing the trapped tablet to obtain the tablet, which has a tablet temperature below 37°C directly after removal, wherein the starting material is solid at 37 °C and 101.32 KPa and consists out of (i) 60 to 100 wt.% of a first polymer stabilizer selected from a list of several members, (ii) 0 to 40 wt.% of a second polymer stabilizer, which is Zn-, Ca- or Mg-stearate, (iii) 0 to 34 wt.% of a third polymer stabilizer, which is zinc oxide, hydrotalcite or so- dium benzoate, (iv) 0 to 20 wt.% of a further ingredient, which is different to the first polymer stabilizer, the second polymer stabilizer and the third polymer stabilizer, wherein the sum of components (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) is 100 wt.%, and the tablet has a weight above 20 mg and below 330 mg and a cross-section dimension above 3 mm and below 18 mm. Furthermore, a method for stabilizing a polymer, which is a polyolefin, a polystyrene or a mixture thereof, is disclosed, which comprises the dosing of the tablet to the polymer. The tablet is useful for a dust-free handling of its components at manufacturing of the stabilized polymer.

Abstract: Method for manufacturing a pellet in a pellet mill, comprising the steps of (a) pressing a mixture for compaction by a roller through a nozzle to obtain a strand, and (b) comminuting the strand to obtain the pellet, wherein the mixture for compaction comprises (i) 87 to 97 wt.-% of a polymer stabilizer, which is tris(2,4-ditert- butylphenyl) phosphite (CAS-No. 31570-04-4), and (ii) 3 to 13 wt- % of a processing aid, which is a propylene-ethylene copolymer and which possesses a melting enthalpy below 100 J/g at 101.32 kPa. The pellet is useful for a dust-free handling of its polymer stabilizer at a manufacturing of the stabilized polymer. Furthermore, a method for stabilizing a polymer, which is a polyolefin, a polystyrene or a mixture thereof, is also disclosed, which comprises the dosing of the pellet to the polymer.

Abstract: La invención se refiere a un proceso para elaborar un comprimido, que comprende las etapas de (A) colocar un material de inicio, que está en una forma sólida, en una primera cavidad abierta, formada por un primer punzón y una matriz, para obtener una segunda cavidad abierta, que se llena al menos de manera parcial con el material de inicio, (B) cerrar la segunda cavidad abierta con un segundo punzón para obtener una primera cavidad cerrada, (C) comprimir el material de inicio a una temperatura de compresión menor de 37°C al mover al menos uno del primer punzón y el segundo punzón para obtener una segunda cavidad cerrada, que tiene un volumen menor que la primera cavidad cerrada, lo que da como resultado la formación de un comprimido atrapado del material de inicio en la segunda cavidad cerrada, (D) retirar el comprimido atrapado para obtener el comprimido, que tiene una temperatura de comprimido menor de 37°C directamente luego de su retiro, en donde el material de inicio es sólido a 37°C y 101.32 KPa y consiste en (i) 60 a 100% en peso de un primer estabilizador de polímero seleccionado de una lista de varios miembros, (ii) 0 a 40% en peso de un segundo estabilizador de polímero, que es estearato de Zn, Ca o Mg, (iii) 0 a 34% en peso de un tercer estabilizador de polímero, que es óxido de zinc, hidrotalcita o benzoato de sodio, (iv) 0 a 20% en peso de un ingrediente adicional, que es diferente al primer estabilizador de polímero, el segundo estabilizador de polímero y el tercer estabilizador de polímero, en donde la suma de los componentes (i), (ii), (iii) y (iv) es 100% en peso, y el comprimido tiene un peso mayor de 20 mg y menor de 330 mg y una dimensión de la sección transversal mayor de 3 mm y menor de 18 mm. Además, se divulga un método para estabilizar un polímero, que es una poliolefina, un poliestireno o una mezcla de estos, que comprende la dosificación del comprimido al polímero. El comprimido es útil para un manejo libre de polvillo de sus componentes en la elaboración del polímero estabilizado.
