    Abstract: The invention relates to a polycarbonate composition containing (A) at least one aromatic polycarbonate and/or polyester-carbonate, (B) at least one graf t polymer of 5 to 95 wt. % of a mixture comprising 50 to 99 weight parts of vinyl aromatics, and/or ring-substituted vinyl aromatics, and/or methylacryl ic acid-(C1-C8)-alkylester and 1 to 50 weight parts of vinyl cyanide, and/or (methyl) acrylic acid-(C1-C8)-alkylester, and/or derivatives of unsaturated carboxylic acids from 95 to 5 wt. % of at least one graft base with a glass temperature of less than approximately 10 ~C and (C) at least one talc with an average particle diameter of less than 1000 nm. The invention also relates t o moulded bodies containing said composition which show improved mechanical properties such as joint-line resistance, elongation at tear and toughness a t low temperatures.

    Abstract: Addition of special types of talc of mean particle diameter less than about 1000 nm to polycarbonate/ABS blends a clear increase in breaking elongation, ductility, and binder bond strength can be obtained without affecting the Young's Modulus compared with comparable molding compositions containing conventional types of talc. A new polycarbonate composition contains: (A) at least one aromatic polycarbonate and/or polyester carbonate; (B) at least one graft polymerisate from 5-95 wt.% of a mixture containing (wt.%): vinyl aromatics and/nucleus substituted vinyl aromatics and/or methacrylic acid 1-8C alkyl ester (50-99), vinyl cyanide and/or (meth)acrylic acid 1-8C alkyl ester and/or a derivative of unsaturated carboxylic acids (1-50), at least one graft base of glass transition temperature below about 10 deg C (95-5), and (C) at least one talc of mean particle size less than 1000 nm. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the composition in which components (A) to (C) and optionally other components are mixed at 200-300 deg C to give conventional aggregates, kneaded, extruded, melt compounded, or melt extruded; and (2) a profiled body containing the composition.

    Abstract: A conductive, impact-strength-modified polyamide molding composition is disclosed.
