Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate composition filled with talc which excellent flame resistance, and additinally has, even at small wall thicknesses, improved rigidity, remarkably good resistance to stress cracking (that is resistance to chemicals), and low tool abrasion and low coating formation during processing.SOLUTION: The polycarbonate compositions contain an impact modifier, at least one phosphorus-containing flameproofing agent, and highly pure talc having an MgO content of from 28 to 35 wt.% and an SiOcontent of from 55 to 65 wt.%.
Abstract:
The invention relates to anti-electrostatic polycarbonate compositions which are chlorine and bromine free and non-inflammable and are characterized by good mechanical and thermal properties and by problem-free workability in an injection molding process, that is, good flowability of the molten mass and low tendency to juicing. The invention also relates to the utilization of the inventive polycarbonate molding materials in the production of all sorts of molded bodies and molded parts and to the molded bodies and parts.
Abstract:
The invention relates to impact-resistant, flame-retardant polycarbonate compositions reinforced with minerals, which have a seam resistance greater than 6 k J/m , measured in accordance with ISO 179/1eU. Said compositions are preferably reinforced with wollastonites.

Phosphorylated organosiloxanes are used as flame retardants or flame retardant synergists in plastics. Phosphorylated organosiloxanes are used as flame retardants or flame retardant synergists in plastics. The phosphorylated organosiloxanes are preferably reaction products of phosphorus compounds of formula R1O-P(=O)R2-OR1 (I) and halosilanes of formula (R3)n-SiX4-n (II). n = 0-3 (preferably 1-3); X = halogen, preferably Cl or Br; R1 = alkyl; R2 = H, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy or aryloxy; and R3 = alkyl or aryl.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic molding composition comprising polycarbonate resin, at least one impact modifier and highly pure talc is disclosed. The talc is characterized in that it contains Al 2 O 3 in an amount of less than 1% relative to the weight of said talc. The composition that features high toughness, good processability and low coefficient of thermal expansion is suitable for the manufacture of exterior parts of vehicles.
