    Abstract: Es sind verschiedene Ausführungsformen einer Vorrichtung und eines Verfahrens zum Konfigurieren eines Reifendrucküberwachungssystems offenbart. Ein Verfahren umfasst ein Drehen eines ersten Reifens von mehreren Reifen an einem Fahrzeug und Empfangen eines Signals, das die Drehzahl des ersten Reifens anzeigt, von einem Raddrehzahlsensor, der mit dem ersten Reifen verknüpft ist. Eine Steuereinheit verknüpft den ersten Reifen mit einer Radposition als Reaktion auf einen Empfang des Signals vom Raddrehzahlsensor. Ein Reifendrucksensor im ersten Reifen generiert ein Reifenkenndatensignal als Reaktion auf die Drehung des ersten Reifens.     Abstract: Various embodiments of an apparatus and method for configuring a tire pressure monitoring system are disclosed. One method comprises rotating a first tire of a plurality of tires on a vehicle and receiving a signal indicative of the speed of rotation of the first tire from a wheel speed sensor associated with the first tire. A controller associates the first tire with a wheel location in response to receiving the signal from the wheel speed sensor. A tire pressure sensor in the first tire generates a tire characteristic signal in response to the rotation of the first tire. The controller receives the tire characteristic signal and associates the tire characteristic signal with the wheel location in response to receiving the tire characteristic signal within a predetermined time period from receiving the signal indicative of the speed of rotation of the first wheel.

    Abstract: A trailer ABS diagnostics display system utilizes an output device to communicate specific ABS diagnostics information to a user located within the tractor cab in the form of ON-OFF code data. The system preferably includes wheel velocity sensors, at least one brake pressure modulator, an output device, a user interface which generates a user request signal, and an electronic control unit that is connected to the wheel velocity sensors, the brake pressure modulator, the output device, and the user interface. The electronic control unit generates the ON-OFF code data which is indicative of a diagnostic condition in response to the user request signal. The ON-OFF code data is transmitted to the output device for communication to the user located with the tractor cab.

    Abstract: A system and method for detecting alternator condition is provided. Information is taken from the vehicle powerline and the communication links, and processed by the vehicle ECU, such as the vehicle antilocking brake system ECU, to obtain data. The battery voltage ripple amplitude is then calculated and compared at different engine speeds. If the difference in the ripple amplitude at the different engine speeds is greater than a predetermined threshold value, a signal is sent indicating that the alternator has failed.

    Abstract: Se describen varias modalidades de un aparato y método para configurar un sistema de monitoreo de presión de neumáticos.
