Abstract: PURPOSE:To attempt compatibility among respective kinds of performance such as ice and snow resistance, abrasion resistance, and exothermic durability by forming tread rubber with an inner tread layer which is made of rubber foam layer having independent air bubbles of prescribed mean air bubble diameter and of prescribed foaming rate, and the outer tread layer which is formed on its outer side and made of non-foaming rubber. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 1 is provided with a case 2 and a tread 3 for covering its crown part 2a and the case 2 comprising a carcass part 6, a belt part 7, etc., is made a foaming rubber layer having independent air bubbles. The mean air bubble diameter of the independent air bubbles is 1-120mum, the foaming rate is 1-100%, and the tread 3 is set as non-foaming rubber. Therefore, ice and snow resistant performance such as braking performance, drive performance, and maneuverability performance on icy and snowy road surfaces can be improved without spoiling abrasion resistant performance and exothermic durability performance.
