    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a folding side bladder capable of contracting a side bladder rapidly. CONSTITUTION:A one end attaching part 21 and an other end attaching part 22 of an upper bladder 20 are attached to a molding drum 1 airtightly. A one end attaching part 27 and an other end attaching part 28 of a lower bladder 26 are also attached airtightly. An upper bladder suction/exhaust hole 7 opening at the upper bladder 20 is formed. A lower bladder suction/exhaust hole opening at the lower bladder 26 is formed. An exhausting groove 29 directed to the axial direction of the molding drum 1 is formed on the inner face of the lower bladder 26.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit projections at the connecting part of a side and disturbance of a cord at a carcass layer at a connecting part-superposed site. SOLUTION: One end face 28 and the other end face 29 located in the peripheral direction and closely connected to each other in a side 23 are inclined to the outer surface of the side 23. The inclination B is gradually narrowed toward the outside in the radius direction from the inside in the radius direction. Thus the width (the connected area) of one end face and that of the other end face 28, 29 in the peripheral direction are gradually widened toward the outside in the radius direction. The result inhibits disconnection at the outer end of the side 23 in the radius direction to reduce the degree of overlapping in one end and the other end in the peripheral direction of the side 23.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the breakaway of a tread caused by the existence of a rear groove so as to improve the durability by disposing the groove bottom of the rear groove at the level higher than that of the groove bottom of a surface groove as well as having the rear groove communicated to the air. CONSTITUTION:In a retreaded tire 11 used for a truck, etc., a precured tread 12 is adhered to the crown part 13a of a base tire 13 made of a used-up tread buff-processed by means of a sheet-formed cushion gum 15. In the precured tread 12, a surface groove 16 is formed in a ground plane part 12b and a rear groove 18 in a rear part 12d respectively. The depth D18 of the rear groove 18 is set higher than the depth to reach the depth D16 of the groove bottom 16a of the surface groove 16. A vent hole 20 and a sipe 21 are formed respectively as passages and the groove bottom 18c of the rear groove 18 is communicated to the outside air. The tread 12 is thus prevented from the breakaway caused by the thermal expansion of gas inside the rear groove 18.
