Abstract: The precure tread (12) comprises surface grooves (16) facing a tread face (12a), rear grooves (18) facing a crown portion of a base tire (13), and means (20, 21) for communicating the rear grooves (18) to atmosphere. The groove bottom of the rear grooves (18) is above the groove bottom of the surface grooves (16). The tire durability can considerably be improved when this precure tread is applied to a new tire or a retreaded tire.

Abstract: In a tire for a levitation-type vehicle for supporting a load which varies depending upon a change in speed of the levitation-type vehicle at landing and during subsequent traveling thereof, a configuration of a crown and rigidity of the crown are set so as to have a ground-contact configuration in which, when a load of the levitation-type vehicle is equal to or less than 45% at its full load, a ratio of a ground-contact length of a pair of shoulders in a circumferential direction of the tire with respect to a ground-contact length, in the circumferential direction of the tire, of a central portion of the crown in the widthwise direction is 0.6 SIMILAR 1.5. Accordingly, the tire for the levitation-type vehicle has a wide ground-contact area at an initial stage of landing and traveling.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve antifrictional characteristic by manipulating the shape or the rigidity of a crown part so that the ground shape of the crown part may take a preset form during the load loaded to a tire reaches a preset ratio of the entire load of a floating car, at the time of taking off and running of the floating car. CONSTITUTION:In a radial tire for a floating car, a cord of at least one ply cord layer that forms a carcass part 42 is arranged almost in a radial direction, while plural belt layers 32 comprising plural reinforcement card layers are placed between the outer surface of a crown part 30 and the carcass part 42. The shape or the rigidity of the crown 30 is determined so that its ground shape may offer a ratio B/A of the ground length B of a shoulder part 48 of the crown part 30 in the direction of the rotation of a tire, to the ground length A of the lateral center part of the crown part 30 in the direction of the rotation of the tire, becomes 0.6 to 1.5, during a load loaded to the tire reaches 45% of a front load of the floating car, at the time of taking off and running of the floating car.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the braking performance and the climbing performance on an iced pavement by providing a specific inclined section in a main groove continuous in the circumferential direction of the tire tread and a thin groove or siping continuous to the main groove while specifying the total extension of the open section of a groove opening to the shoulder section. CONSTITUTION:A main groove 1 continuous to the circumferential direction A of a tire tread is provided with a section inclining with an angle smaller than 45 deg., preferably smaller than 40 deg., against a meridian Tm of the tire over the range more than 60% of the substantial total extension measured on the center line C of the width W of main groove. A thin groove or siping where one or both ends are coupled to the main groove 1 is also provided with a section inclining with an angle smaller than 45 deg., preferably smaller than 40 deg., against a meridian of tire over the range more than 60% of the total extension measured on the center line of the width of said thin groove or siping. The total extension of the open section of the groove opening to the shoulder section is set to be shorter than 15% of the circumferential length of the shoulder.
