Abstract: Polyol component essentially consists of polyesterpolyetherpolyol containing polyesterpolyol by the weight ratio of 100:0 to 20:80, in which the polyesterpolyetherpolyol is a copolymer of polytetramethyleneglycol (PTMG) and epsilon -caprolactone by the weight ratio of 20:80 to 80:20 with an average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000 and the polyesterpolyol is a condensate of adipic acid as a main acid component with an average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000, is reacted with isocyanate component essentially consists of 4,4'-diphenylmethanediisocyanate (MDI) to make a prepolymer with terminal radical of NCO. Microcellular polyurethane produced from the prepolymer by foaming and polymerization reaction has the durability for vibration-proof material of car use, combining the advantage of PTMG such as high initial modulus at elongation, low heat built up, low-temperature property and hydrolysis-durability under high humid and hot conditions, with the advantage of polycaprolactone such as good molding property and anti-bending-fatigue property, as well as making up for the disadvantage of both polyols each other. Thus improving the problems of microcellular polyurethane using MDI such as low initial modulus at elongation and high heat built up.

Abstract: A polyolefin foam sheet is made using additionally a resin varnish (e.g. rosin, shellac, alkyd, phenolic or coumarone-indene resins) which can be coated onto the foamable base sheet before heating to foam it, and/or incorporated into the polyolefin resin composition of the base sheet, and/or coated onto the sheet after foaming. The use of such varnish may confer good thermal resistance and surface wettability of the resulting foamed sheet.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shut off floor impact noise easily by providing flexible material, formed by profile-machining a foam body, between floor finishing material and a floor foundation bed such as a concrete slab. SOLUTION: A polyurethane foam body is profile-machined to form flexible material 2 of 5-10mm in thickness with protruding parts 2A and recessed parts 28 formed on the surface, and extremely thin unwoven fabric 3 is stuck to both faces of the flexible material 2 to form cushioning material 1. In the case of providing this cushioning material 1 between floor finishing material and a floor foundation bed such as a concrete slab, the protruding parts 2A are sunk first being compressed by load applied to the floor finishing material, and then the whole cushioning material 1 is sunk. The propagation of lightweight floor impact noise can thereby be prevented by the compression of the protruding parts, and practical hardness can be imparted to a floor after the compression of the protruding parts.

CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. binary or ternary copolymer rubber consisting of 1-20% vinyl monomer having a tert. amino group, pref. an acrylate deriv. of formula I (wherein R1-2 are each a 1-18C alkyl, aralkyl or aryl; R3 is H, a 1-5C alkyl; and n is 1-10), an acrylamide deriv. of formula II or a vinyl monomer having a pyridyl group (e.g., dimethylaminoethyl acrylate), 20-99% butadiene and 0-60% styrene or blend contg. 30wt.% or more this rubber and another diene rubber is compounded with 20-150 pts.wt. carbon black having a pH of 2-6, pref. a channel black having an N2 adsorption specific surface area of 90m /g or larger and a DBP absorption of 90-130ml/100g.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent impact sound isolating capacity for a flooring material and to provide easiness in walking for a floor with excessive subsidence of the floor prevented by a method wherein granular matters are buried in a layer of soft material for damping impact sound on the floor. SOLUTION: A number of granular matters 3 for preventing subsidence of a floor are buried in a layer of soft material 2 in a sufficient thickness and softness. The soft material 2 is composed of two sheets 2A and 2B of urethane foam, and the granular matters 3 are interposed between the sheets 2A and 2B. Rubber chips or the like are used for granular matters 3, and an elasticity of not being thrust into a flooring material when a load is applied to the flooring material is provided while materials in various shapes are optionally used. Shocks from a shock source of the floor can be dampened by the layer of soft material and propagation of impact sound can also be prevented. As the soft material subsides, the elastic granular matters hit against the underside of the flooring material, and warping of the soft material as a layer can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition having oil resistance, solvent resistance and abrasion resistance, by curing an NCO-terminated prepolymer obtained by reacting a specified polyol mixture with 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition obtained by curing an NCO-terminated prepolymer obtained by reacting a polyol mixture formed by blending a succinic acid polyester polyol (I) with a lactone polyester polyol (II) at a weight ratio of 80/20-20/80 with 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. When polyol (I) is used in a weight ratio larger than the above, the general properties of the produced molding are poor and the molding is apparently brittle. When polyol (II) is used in a ratio higher than the above, the solvent resistance of the produced molding is poor, and the molding is merely one having extremely short life as a sqeezee rubber.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled polyurethane suitable for automobile parts, etc., by adding a specific amount of an alkylene oxide adduct of a propane derivative and a filler to a polyol having high molecular weight, and reacting the mixture with a polyisocyanate under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of a polyol having high molecular weight (preferably a polymer polyol having a molecular weight of 3,000-7,000 and containing 2-3 functional groups) is mixed with (B) 10-50pts.wt. of an alkylene oxide adduct of 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane (e.g. propylene oxide adduct) as a chain extender, (C) a reinforcing filler (e.g. milled glass fiber), (D) a catalyst and preferably (E) a defoaming agent. The mixture is made to react with (F) a polyisocyanate (preferably diphenylmethane diisocyanate) at an isocyanate index of 100-150 to obtain the objective polyurethane.
