    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an insole for a shoe excellent in the shock absorbing property and lightness at a low cost by lining the molding of a shock absorbing foam body with an insole board. CONSTITUTION: The foam excellent in the shock absorbing property and capable of being posteriorly molded is molded into a shape corresponding to the solid shape of a planta pedis by a means such as a press, and it is fixed on an insole board to easily manufacture this insole for a shoe. A polymer component containing 30-80wt.% of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 26wt.% or below of vinyl acetate, 5-40wt.%, of syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene and 10-40wt.% of a high-loss material having the impact resilience of 20% or below at 25 deg.C is foamed to form a shock absorbing foam body, and a material having the specific gravity of 0.05-0.6 and capable of posteriorly molded by a hot press is preferably. The molded foam body excellent in the shock absorbing property is lightweight and has good fitness to feet when it is used for shoes, and feet are not tired during a walk for a long time because the foam body is excellent in the shock absorbing property.
