SOLUTION: V/I converting circuits 108 are provided with n independent constant current sources corresponding to n column direction wiring. Each circuit 108 is a constant current source made up with an operational amplifier, a transistor and a resistor. A voltage limiting circuit 209 utilizes a diode D. A limit value setting circuit is constituted of a D/A converter, a buffer amplifier or a potentiometer connected to a power supply and a buffer amplifier, for example. A spike current absorbing means 211 utilizes a capacitor C. Note that the larger the capacitor, the smaller a voltage increase portion ΔVs of the wiring. Thus, the required value of the capacitor C of the means 211 is desired to be not less than 0.1 μF.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge without voltage and to facilitate assembling of a device by separately arranging a lower voltage portion and a higher voltage portion. SOLUTION: Since row-array terminals are connected with both sides of a row wiring in a display panel and are driven with the absolutely same signals from two sets of scan driving portions 6, current of the row wiring is dispersed to both sides to reduce partial voltage drop. An acceleration voltage generating portion 7 and an acceleration voltage wiring 9 are high voltage portions with several kV to 20 kV, the other portions are low voltage portions with 5-15 V, distance L between them is preferably separated more than 1 mm/kV for safety. Therefore, by providing a layout with the distance L set longer than 20 mm, discharge withstand voltage is improved, and safety of a device is improved. In addition, because noise radiation due to a high voltage generating circuit is large in the high voltage portions, the low voltage portions such as a control portion 8, modulation and the scan driving portions 5, 6 of the device are arranged spaced from the high voltage portions to reduce possibility of circuit malfunction by the noise radiation of the high voltage portions.

Then the image display part 1 is requested to transmit necessary adjustment data according to selected specifications. On receiving the adjustment data, the specifications of the image display part 1 can be grasped, so normal processes begin.
