Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an adverse effect on signals caused by interference between the wiring of a picture display device. SOLUTION: The device has plural wiring, plural display elements, to which signals are applied through the wiring, and a signal circuit which generates the signals. The circuit generates signals having the length of a compensated high level interval in accordance with the length of the compensated high level interval in accordance with the length of the high level interval of the signals applied to the adjacent wiring of each wiring or in accordance with the number of level changes of the signals applied to adjacent wiring in a high level interval or in order to suppress the luminance change by the level changes of the signals applied to adjacent wiring with respect to each wiring. It is desirable that a cross talk compensating section 13 compensates for a luminance signal S17 of own wiring to be inputted to a 'd' terminal based on luminance signals S18 and S19 of adjacent wiring.

CONSTITUTION: When image data for 1H (horizontal scanning time) are stored in shift register groups 37b and 37c, a timing signal Q3 is supplied from a timing control circuit 34 to the shift register groups 37b and 37c. Since this signal Q3 becomes high at the time corresponding to the ((2 )-1)th, where n=1,..., 7, and the period of 1H is equally divided by 2 8, the image data stored in the shift register groups 37b and 37c are shifted in the direction of downward arrows in the figure respectively by this signal Q3, and are supplied to a latch circuit 42 of (m) bits. Individual bits of the image data are latched in turn from the lower-order bit by the latch circuit 42 in synchronization with the signal Q3, thus turning a signal outputted from the latch circuit 42 into a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal corresponding to the image data.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the inclination of emission charges and luminance of an electronic source consisting of plural surface conductive electron emission arranged in matrix and an image forming device using it. CONSTITUTION:A multi-electronic source 404 is arranged with the surface conductive electron emission elements in matrix. A drive control circuit 401 inputs a scanning signal to scanning signal drive systems 403, 404 based on an input signal, and inputs a data signal to a data signal drive system 402 by synchronizing it with the scanning signal. The scanning signal drive systems apply the scanning signal from the drive systems 1, 2 for every prescribed number of lines to the electronic source alternately corresponding to the inputted scanning signal. In such a manner, by applying the scanning signal from both ends of the line, the drop of an element voltage caused by the resistance of the wiring is dispersed into both ends, and the emission charges of the electronic source is prevented from being biased as a whole.

SOLUTION: This integrated circuit is a scanning driver which sequentially shifts a start signal for instructing, to start scanning in synchronism with a synchronous signal; outputs binary signals showing each positional state in parallel; and uses at least one or more binary signals to compose the scanning driver for driving the scanning wiring of an image forming panel by the parallel outputs, and which comprises 1st and 2nd input terminal DQA, DQB for inputting the shifted signals; plural pieces of latch circuits 1101 operating according to a clock synchronizing with the synchronous signal; switching circuits 1102, 1103 for cascade-connecting the plural pieces of latch circuits in the direction according to a directional signal DIR for indicating the direction of the shift and also connecting the input of the first one of the cascade- connected latch circuits the 1st and 2nd input terminals in accordance with the directional signal; and an output means for generating outputs in parallel, corresponding to respective outputs Q1-Q40 of the plural pieces of latch circuits channel by channel.
