While inputted with a volume setting operation signal from an operation device 46, the control circuit 44 controls the gain of the level variable circuit 32 according to the output of the error detection circuit 40 so that the output speech level of the level variable circuit 32 may be constant. When the input of the volume setting operation signal from the operation device 46 is stopped, the control circuit 44 holds the control signal up to that time.
