Abstract:
This invention relates to an ink jet recording apparatus and a recording method for recording images of high density with the amount of ink placed per unit area on a recording medium being kept constant even if the resolvability when recording is changed. When the amount of ink of an ink droplet discharged from a recording head is constant (25 pl), the average number of recorded dots conforming to the resolvability is found on the basis thereof, and the number of recordable dots is found from this average number of dots. The difference between this number of actually recorded dots and the average number of recorded dots is adjusted by reducing the value of recording data in advance.
Abstract:
In a first recording mode for recording by discharging the ink of relatively large amount at a low resolution, liquid droplet discharging and recording conditions for the low resolution are set, while in a second recording mode for recording by discharging the ink of relatively small amount at a high resolution, a high resolution transformation process and a smoothing and thinning process are performed, and the liquid droplet discharging and recording conditions for the low resolution are set, wherein the recording control is performed in accordance with the recording mode which has been set.
Abstract:
The invention provides a class of water-soluble probucol derivatives having one or more ester groups replacing the phenyl hydroxyl groups of the probucol molecule. Some derivatives have polar or charged functionalities such as carboxylic acid groups, amino groups, aldehyde groups and amide groups located on the ester groups. Some of these compounds are spontaneously hydrolyzable in typical biological milieus. The present invention also provides a method of treating an animal with probucol by administering a water-soluble probucol prodrug to the animal.

Abstract:
An ink jet printing apparatus can execute a two-side printing capable of avoiding a show through effect while maintaining a specific print grade. Specifically, for the two-side printing, a small amount of a light cyan ink is used only within the range near white. To compensate this, a dark cyan ink starts to be used near the range. Thus, the amount of ink outputted by converting the same signal values is smaller than that for the one-side printing. As a result, the total amount of landed ink can be reduced to decrease the show through effect in which landed ink pass from one side of a printing medium to another side of the printing medium.
Abstract:
On the basis of an image data for one line, ejection data is established distributed ejection data in a period of two pixels for each scan for performing printing by scanning twice with different ejection openings. Then, a processing liquid data is generated with a processing liquid mask of a period of three pixels which is prime to the period of two pixels, with respect to the ejection data. By this, with respect to results of a first scan and a second scan, pixels, on which an ink and a processing liquid are overlaid can be distributed uniformly. As a result, it is never differentiate order of application of the processing liquid by performing printing in the order of second scan and the first scan in other scanning region from correspondence of the ejection openings.
