Abstract: A communication apparatus has a calling function and is connectable to an external information-processing terminal. In response to a communication request input from the operation unit or a communication request from the external information-processing terminal, the communication apparatus performs a calling operation for facsimile communication to a receiving end. When the apparatus cannot communicate with the receiving end that was called, it carries out a recalling operation in response to a communication request from the operation unit, but does not perform the recalling operation to a communication request from the information-processing terminal.

SOLUTION: In the case of conducting facsimile communication, the operator enters a telephone number, a DTMF designation code and a DTMF code altogether. After the facsimile equipment receiving the entry connects a call with a destination communication according to the entered telephone number, the entered DTMF designation code is sent. Then it is confirmed automatically that the destination communication equipment receives the DTMF signal and the entered DTMF signal is sent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience of use by transferring directly an original image to a LAN terminal equipment by the control of the facsimile equipment connecting to a LAN so as to improve the function as a LAN system. SOLUTION: A radio LAN 126 is a LAN consisting of a facsimile equipment or a client machine having a radio LAN interface and a radio channel ties the facsimile equipment and a radio base station via a radio channel interface. Then image data read by a scanner 111 are sent to a terminal equipment commanded by an operation section 112. In this case, a memory of the LAN as a location of receiving image data by each LAN user and each terminal equipment is allocated to a memory of each server. Thus, the destination of the image data read by the scanner 111 of the facsimile equipment is commanded by the operation of the facsimile equipment and the image data are sent to a terminal equipment on the LAN.

SOLUTION: When an original is set to a read control part 106 and the read request of the original and a destination on a LAN 113 are specified from an operation part 105, the information is sent through an I/F control part 110 to an information processing terminal 112. The information processing terminal 112 judges whether or not the information matched with the identification information of the specified destination is present, instructs read start to a CPU 101 when it is present and instructs read inhibition when it is absent. When the read start is instructed, image data for the image of the original are transferred through the read I/F control part 110 in the read control part 106 and stored in a memory area corresponding to the destination of the storage device of the information processing terminal 112. At the time of the read inhibition, that effect is displayed to the operation part 105.

SOLUTION: When a facsimile equipment is started, a CPU 101 resets an area denoting a state of an equipment in a RAM 103. Then equipment state monitor is started and transits to a standby state. When there is any change, information denoting the presence of a change is stored in the RAM 103. Then reception of a command from an information terminal equipment 118 is checked and when received and when the command is a command to inquire about a state of the facsimile equipment, the information of the equipment state stored in the RAM 103 is set as a response parameter and it is sent to the information processing terminal equipment 118 via an I/F control section 115.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the execution of processing even when memory lacks capacity of data processing by detecting empty capacity inside FAX equipment from an external information processing terminal through an I/F, dividing transfer data into quantity able to be stored in the empty capacity and executing processing by performing the memory transfer of FAX. SOLUTION: A FAX server monitors whether there is a transmission request from the client of terminal equipment or not. When there is the request, memory information in an image memory 104 is acquired corresponding to a memory acquiring command from FAX equipment. Next, the size of data to become a transmission object is compared with the empty capacity of the memory 104. When data for transmission are larger than the empty capacity of the memory, those data are transmitted to the FAX equipment altogether and then the data are transmitted and the transmission end data are deleted from the memory 104. Besides, when the data for transmission are larger than the empty capacity of the memory, it is investigated whether the request from terminal equipment is a multi-address transmission request or not. Next, it is investigated whether data are image data or text data. When those data are image data or text data, they are transmitted while being divided so as to be stored in the memory.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To eliminate such inconvenience as reception rejection and the full memory and to efficiently made use of the advantage of a network by distributing received data to a terminal executing log-in in accordance with the priority. CONSTITUTION: When it is judged that the client machine of a user, which is applied to the priority 'i', executes log-in, received data is copied to a management area corresponding to the name of the user applied to the priority 'i' of a server machine. When it is recognized that received data can normally be stored in the server machine, received data is eliminated from an accumulation memory 104. Then, a distribution mail is transmitted to the client machine of the user applied to the priority 'i'. Then, received data is distributed to the applied client machine and a report showing the distribution is outputted form a printer 115. The content of the report is stored in RAM 103. When distribution is normally completed, received data in the server machine is eliminated.
