    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader whose maintenance is easy where an original platen is cooled efficiently with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An axial fan 60 and a duct 61 are provided to the upper part of a pressing plate 40. The duct 61 is provided with an opening 63 that is open/ closed, and the opening 63 is closed when the pressing plate 40 is nearly in close contact with an original platen glass 31. A switch 64 is provided to the reader, which detects whether or not the pressing plate 40 is nearly in close contact with the original platen glass 31. In the case of reading the image of a sheet original, the axial fan 60 flows a cooling wind to the upper face of the pressing plate 40 and a fan 65 is not in operation. In the case of using a stereoscopic original, a cover 62 is open and the cooling wind is directly blown onto the upper face of the original platen glass 31 through the opening 63. In the case that the pressing plate 40 is not in close contact with the original platen glass 31 in the mode with a tight temperature rising, the fan 65 is in operation as an auxiliary fan.

Thus, the machine screw 59 comes out of the drum unit, together with the partition plate 49 removed at the time of maintainance of the drum unit, so that the long axial machine screw 59 can be arranged at the efficient position without increasing the labor and time at the time of the maintenance.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of stably obtaining an excellent image over a long period without requiring maintenance. SOLUTION: This image forming device having a corona electrifier 2 for electrifying a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 1 is constituted by providing an air feeding duct (wind sending means) 45 feeding the clean air in the corona electrifier 2 and the exhausting duct (evacuating means) 51 for exhausting the air in the corona electrifier 2, so that a discharging wire 43 of the corona electrifier 2 is included in mid-way of a flowing path leading from the air feeding duct 45 to the exhausting duct 51, and a section in the flowing path lying along the photoreceptor drum 1 at a close range is not included on the downstream side of the discharging wire 43. In this way, the soiling prevention of the discharging wire 43 by blowing the clean air and the deterioration prevention of the photoreceptor drum 1 surface by exposure of ozone generated from the discharging wire 43 are made compable with each other, therefore the excellent image can be obtained over a long period without requiring the maintenance.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of ring members 40 and 41 is freely rotatably arranged on a fixed shaft 44, and both ring members 40 and 41 are driven so as not to be relatively rotated, but to be synchronously rotated. And also, the adhesive member 46 attached to the shaft 44 is arranged to be fixed between both ring members 40 and 41. The member 46 is positioned a little bit on the more inside (in the radial direction) than the outer circumferential surfaces of the members 40 and 41, and formed out of an insulating material so that an adverse effect may not be given to the work of the dielectric sheet 43. And, the leading edge of the sheet 43 is positioned so as to agree with the member 46, and then, the sheet 43 is stuck to the outer circumference of the ring members 40 and 41 with a double coated adhesive tape, etc., installed on the leading edge, thereafter, the member 40 and 41 are rotated so that the sheet 43 may be wound around, then, the trailing edge of the sheet is overlaid and stuck on the leading edge of the sheet.
