    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate fluorescence of a substrate and improve an S/N, by constituting a part of an area surrounding an electrode of an electrode group on the substrate not to generate fluorescence, when a second wavelength light which is an excitation wavelength to a predetermined fluorescent wavelength is projected. SOLUTION: An electrode-supporting body has an electronics means integrated on a substrate 22 supporting electrodes 24 and an electric insulating layer 30 on an area between the electrodes 24 on a surface of the substrate 22. A metallic layer 32 formed on the insulating layer 30 is an opaque non-fluorescent layer of a level that shuts a wavelength λ1 when the wavelength is projected to the substrate 22, or does not emit fluorescence even when receiving fluorescence of a wavelength λ2. The metallic layer 32 is utilized, for instance, to control a potential at a section of the electrode 24 as a confronting electrode, and also acts as an optical mask for a non-sensitive section in a structure of the electrode-supporting body. When a matrix is to be optically read with using this mask, a good S/N ratio is obtained. A limit of measurement sensitivity is raised by eliminating fluorescence of the substrate 22, and the S/N ratio is improved.

    Abstract: L'invention concerne un procédé de détection d'une variation locale d'indice de réfraction d'un milieu diélectrique situé à la surface d'un capteur optique, le capteur optique comportant à cet effet un guide d'onde comprenant une région, dite région active, recouverte d'au moins une couche métallique en contact avec le milieu diélectrique, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) émettre un faisceau lumineux en entrée du guide d'onde de sorte que ce faisceau lumineux puisse se propager, au sein du guide d'onde, selon au moins N modes de propagation où N est un entier naturel tel que N ≥ 2 ; b) mesurer l'intensité d'au moins une zone de la répartition spatiale de l'intensité du faisceau lumineux réfléchi par ladite région active du capteur optique ; et c) détecter la variation locale de l'indice de réfraction du milieu diélectrique au moyen d'une base de données fournissant le lien entre l'intensité de ladite au moins une zone de la répartition spatiale de l'intensité du faisceau lumineux réfléchi par la région active du capteur optique et une variation d'indice de réfraction d'un milieu de référence.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensor for an electronic tongue or nose for analysing a sample or detecting a target. The sensor comprises a support, on one surface of which a plurality of sensitive areas are located, each sensitive area comprising at least one receptor and being capable of transmitting a measurable signal generated by the interaction of at least one constituent of the sample or one target with at least one receptor. The sensor is characterised in that it comprises at least three sensitive areas that differ from one another in terms of their respective receptor compositions, at least one of the sensitive areas comprising a mixture of at least two different receptors, while the two other sensitive areas each comprise at least one of the two receptors.
