PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silica which possesses particularly good sorption characteristics for polar compounds because silica is frequently used as a carrier material for polar compounds such as choline chloride, propionic acid or formic acid. SOLUTION: Precipitated silica or a silicate can be obtained by acid precipitation of an aqueous silicate solution while maintaining a constant alkali number of at least 15-60. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silicic acid having excellent absorption behavior especially for a polar compound, since the silicic acid is used as a supporting material for the polar compound such as choline choloride, propionic acid and formic acid. SOLUTION: Precipitated silicic acid or silicate is obtained by precipitation from a silicate aqueous solution with an acid under at least one fixed alkalinity.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concern a silicic acid having a heterogeneous structure or constitution, its production method and a usage as a supporting agent of vitamin and choline chloride. SOLUTION: In the silicic acid containing at least two silicate fractions, the silicic acid having heterogeneous structure or constitution characterizes that at least two silicate fractions depend on at least one measured value of the BET-surface area, CTAB-surface area and DBP-absorption ability by at least 10%.
