PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce carbon black which can give a rubber compound having reduced rolling resistance, improved skid resistance and increased wear resistance. SOLUTION: A carbonaceous carbon black feedstock is sprayed with a silicon compound in the combustion chamber 1 or reaction chamber 2 of a reactor to produce carbon black having a CTAB surface area of 40-180m /g, a 24M4- DBP-absorption value of 40-140ml/100g and a BET specific surface area of 80-250m /g and containing 0.01-15wt.% silicon based on the whole.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon black, to provide a production method therefor, an application thereof and to obtain a rubber compound containing the same. SOLUTION: The carbon black is obtained by spraying a liquid or gaseous carbon black raw material in a narrow space of a furnace black reactor and has 10-35 m /g CTAB-surface area, 40-180 ml/g DBP absorption and the particle size distribution of its aggregate is above 340 nm. This carbon black is dispersed faster and better than usual one in the state of high filling density in a rubber compounded with shaped sections and also is capable of fast extrusion forming and is low in injection expanding.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject mixture capable of avoiding a tendency of a pre-vulcanization on using a long chain organosilanepolysulfane in a rubber mixture and useful as a tire tread by including the organosilanepolysulfane and a trivalent phosphorus compound for desulfurization. SOLUTION: This rubber mixture contains (A) at least one kind of the organosilanepolysulfane [e.g.; bis-[3-(triethoxysilyl)-propyl]tetrasulfane] and (B) at least one kind of desulfurizing reagent (e.g.; triphenylphosphine) consisting of trivalent phosphorus compound. In the mixture, it is preferable to contain a synthetic rubber and silicic acid as filler. The component A is contained in an amount of preferably 0.1-15 mass %, more preferably 5-10 mass % based on the amount of the used filler, and the component B is contained in an amount of preferably 5-80 mass %, more preferably 10-40 mass % based on the amount of the component A.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind verbesserte Furnaceruße und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung. Die verbesserten Ruße zeichnen sich gegenüber Vergleichsrußen mit gleicher CTAB-Oberfläche bei Einarbeitung in SSBR/BR-Gummimischungen durch einen geringeren Rollwiderstand bei gleichem oder besserem Naßrutschverhalten aus. Sie können in konventionellen Rußreaktoren hergestellt werden, indem die Verbrennung in der Brennkammer so geführt wird, daß sich Rußkeime bilden, die unmittelbar mit dem Rußrohstoff in Kontakt gebracht werden.
