Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a granule fit for lysine, threonine and tryptophan in one stage and one process by granulating a fermentation broth, compacting and drying the resultant granule, adding a sufficient quantity of energy thereto, regulating the granule to a desired grain diameter and bulk density and inputting the regulated granule through a mechanical passage to a fluidized bed. SOLUTION: A fermentation broth is granulated, compacted and dried in one process in a fluidized bed and a sufficient quantity of energy is added thereto during the process to regulate the resultant granule to a desired grain diameter and bulk density. The regulated granule is further inputted through a mechanical passage into a fluidized bed. The added energy is preferably inputted thereto by using a mobile planar structure.

SOLUTION: Particulate matter is produced by a continuous fluidized bed spray granulation. In this case, the particulate matter is discharged by a discharge device having classifying effect by an area ratio of time integral of a discharge surface 'f' to floor area F of a fluidized bed causing periodic vibration. By decreasing the area ratio f/F, the vibration is controlled, and by further decreasing it, a change of a amplitude is increased. Fractions of different particle size distributions are obtained by fractionally removing particulate matter during one period. The area ratio f/F is 5 0/00-0.1 0/00.

Abstract: The invention relates to an improved process for producing sodium perborate monohydrate by dehydration of sodium perborate tetrahydrate in a fluidised bed by heated air. According to the invention, contact surfaces are arranged within the fluidised bed, the total area of which contact surfaces constitutes 1 - 500 times the area of the gas distribution plate of the fluidised bed. The contact surfaces are expediently designed as heat exchangers, the surface temperature of which is adjusted to 90 to 110@C. Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing spherical granules from pulverulent solids and the granules prepared by the process. The process is characterised, inter alia, in that the pulverulent solids, if required together with the binders, lubricants and plasticisers conventional for pressing solids are uniformly moistened by addition of an appropriate amount of liquid and mixing in a mixer, pressed in a ring matrix press to give cylindrical agglomerate rods and then rounded in a rounding unit having a fluted disc. The solids granulated by this process exhibit a very narrow grain size spectrum and are distinguished, depending on process conditions, by good flowability and good dispersibility.

Abstract: Sodium percarbonate of the formula 2 Na2CO3 3 H2O2 can be produced by fluidised-bed spray granulation by spraying an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate and a hydrogen peroxide solution on sodium percarbonate seeds and evaporating water. The previously necessary use of phosphorus-containing crystallisation inhibitor to prevent blockages and incrustations in and on the nozzle can be avoided by the invention if the solutions are sprayed using a single three-substance pulverisation nozzle with the external mixing of the solutions.
