Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the carbon black; and (2) device for executing the above process comprising a burner and a cooling surface against which the flame is directed, where the cooling takes place through a self-constricting gap, which has a height/width ratio of 1-100 mm, where the width is related to the upper edge of the gap and is 0.5-10 mm and the flow velocity at the narrowest point of the gap is 10-200 m/s.

    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Gasruß, indem man in einem Ölverdampfer Rußrohstoff bei Temperaturen gleich oder höher der Verdampfungstemperatur des Rußrohstoffes verdampft, den Öldampf mit einem Traggas zu einem Gasrußapparat, mit mindestens einem Brenner und mindestens einer Walze, führt, gegebenenfalls vor dem Gasrußapparat dem Öldampf-/Traggasgemisch Luft zumischt, in dem Brenner das Gasgemisch den Flammen zuführt und auf einer Walze den Ruß teilweise abscheidet, wobei der Abstand zwischen Brenner und Walze 60 bis 300 mm beträgt.

    Abstract: Un negro de humo que tiene una distribucion de tamanos de agregado con relacion (d90-d10)/d50 menor o igual que 1,1. Los negros de humo se producen mezclando aire caliente, si se lo desea, con una mezcla de gas que comprende un gas portador y una materia prima de negro de humo, haciendo pasar la mezcla de gas hacia un tubo quemador, quemando la mezcla de gas en las aberturas del tubo quemador, extrayendo y enfriando las llamas por succion, junto con el aire ambiental aspirado libremente por succion desde el exterior, a través de una campana de salida enfriada que se estrecha progresivamente, donde la campana de salida enfriada que se estrecha progresivamente tiene una relacion entre altura (h) y ancho (b) de 1-100, donde el ancho (b) es de entre 0,5 y 10 mm, y el caudal en el punto más angosto de la campana es de entre 10 y 200 m/s. Los negros de humo de la presente pueden usarse como relleno, como relleno de retuerzo, estabilizador UV, negro conductivo, pigmento o agente reductor.
