Abstract: The oxidation step in the anthraquinones process for producing hydrogen peroxide is carried out in a plurality of stages in an apparatus arranged for separating gas and liquid phases. The hydroquinone containing working solution is conducted in each stage in parallel flow from bottom to top with one oxygen containing gas. The stage with the highest hydroquinone concentration in the working solution is led to the gas mixture most depleted in oxygen and the fresh gas mixture is introduced into the stage which contains the working solution poorest in hydroquinone.

Abstract: There is provided a process for the recovery of cyanuric chloride in solid or liquid form from the reaction mixture which results from the trimerization of cyanogen chloride wherein to recover the cyanuric chloride in liquid or solid form the gaseous reaction mixture is introduced into an apparatus combination consisting essentially of a stripping column and a condenser connected at the outlet side, preferably a head condenser, preferably above the stripping column, and in which the sump of the stripping column is held to the boiling temperature of the cyanuric chloride whereupon the cyanuric chloride contained in the gaseous reaction mixture depending on the regulation of the temperature at the outlet of the condenser in the range of 146 DEG to 190 DEG C. is partially condensed, after which to recover the liquid cyanuric chloride in liquid form it is removed as such at the lower end of the stripping column while the residual gas leaving the condenser and still containing cyanuric chloride, which amount of cyanuric chloride is controlled by the temperature at the outlet of the condenser, is led to a separating chamber and the residual cyanuric chloride is recovered there by known process.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing cyanuric chloride in a solid or liquid form from the reaction mixture obtained on trimerizing cyanogen chloride, in which process for producing cyanuric chloride selectively in a liquid or solid form the reaction gas mixture is fed to an apparatus substantially comprising a separating column and a condenser connected in series therewith, the reaction gas mixture is injected above the separating column and the bottom of the separating column is kept at the boiling temperature of the cyanuric chloride, the cyanuric chloride contained in the reaction gas mixture being partially condensed in the temperature range from 146 to 190.degree.C depending on the selection of the temperature at the outlet of the condenser, whereupon to obtain the liquid form, the liquid cyanuric chloride is drawn off as such at a lower end of the separating column and/or fed directly or after intermediate storage to a spray tower and sprayed therein, and a solid, finegrained cyanuric chloride is removed at the bottom of the spray tower, the residual gas leaving the condenser and still containing cyanuric chloride, the amount of which corresponds to the temperature selected at the outlet of the condenser, is fed to a separating chamber, where the residual cyanuric chloride is recovered.
