Abstract: Printed media coatings in which at least one component of the ink reacts with at least one component of the coating to form a chemical bond are new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) inks in which at least one component forms a chemical bond with at least one component of a media coating; (2) media coatings in which at least one component forms a chemical bond with at least one component of an ink; (3) a process for producing the printed media coatings, comprising spraying, printing or jetting the ink onto the coating.
