Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a concrete with which concrete member or buildings can be effectively protected from corrosion by adding an emulsion containing a hydrolyzable org. silicon compd. to a concrete mixture comprising an inorg. component, a small amt. of org. component and water. SOLUTION: In the production of a concrete, an org. silicon compd. expressed by the formula, and if necessary, aq. emulsion containing its condensate are added to a water-contg. mixture comprising an ironing. component usually used, and if necessary, a small amt. of org. component in the mixing process of the concrete or after mixing. In the formula, R is a1-3C alkyl; R is a1-20C alkyl or phenyl: (a) is 0 or 1; (b) is 1 or 2;(c) is 1 to 18; X is H, Cl, Br, I, NH2 , SCN, CN, N3 an NHR, an N(R)2 , an N(R)3 , an aryl, Sx or absent; R is same as R ; (x) is 1 to 6. The amt. of the org. compd. or the emulsion added is 0.1 to 10 wt.% of the cement. The mixture is hardened to obtain a concrete which can be made hydrophobic in a block state.
Abstract:
Dispersion comprising, in addition to water, 0.5 to 20 wt.% of hydrophobic silica, 0.01 to 10 wt.% of a gelling or viscosity-increasing additive, 0.1 to 1 wt.% of a preservative and 0 to 1 wt.% of a surface-active substance. It is prepared by a procedure in which the individual components are dispersed successively or together into the water and in this procedure the individual components are deaerated before and/or during the addition or the dispersion is deaerated during the individual dispersing steps. The dispersion can be employed as an insecticide.
Abstract:
Dispersion comprising hydrophobic pyrogenically prepared silicon dioxide, alcohol and at least one additive which promotes the dispersion and, as additional component, at least one insecticide and/or acaricide. The dispersion can be canned in spray cans and used as insecticide.

Abstract:
Aqueous dispersion containing transition aluminium oxide as only solid and a dispersant, in which - the transition aluminium oxide is present in the form of aggregates of primary particles, the content of transition aluminium oxide in the dispersion is from 40 to 65% by weight, the aggregates in the dispersion have a mean aggregate diameter of less than 100 nm, - the dispersant contains polyaluminium hydroxychloride, polyaluminium hydroxynitrate and/or polyaluminium hydroxysulphate, the dispersion has a pH of from 3 to 5.
Abstract:
Aqueous dispersion for the chemical-mechanical polishing of metal surfaces, containing a metal oxide powder and a cationic, surface-active polymer, wherein the metal oxide powder is silicon dioxide, aluminium oxide or a mixed oxide of silicon dioxide and aluminium oxide, and the cationic, surface-active polymer is a polyallyl amine or polydiallyl amine dissolved in the dispersion and having a weightaverage molecular weight of less than 100,000 g/mol. The dispersion can be used for the chemical-mechanical polishing of metallic layers and of metallic films, which are applied to an insulating barrier layer.
Abstract:
Process for preparing an alkaline dispersion of aggregated silicon dioxide particles by dividing a preliminary dispersion within a pH of 3 to 5 into at least two streams, placing these streams under a pressure of at least 50 bar and depressurizing them to a collision point, each via one nozzle, in a grinding chamber, and admixing the dispersion that runs off at the bottom, while still in the grinding chamber, with an alkaline substance in an amount such that the dispersion overall has a pH of more than 7.
Abstract:
Dispersion containing, in addition to water, 0.5 to 20% by weight of hydrophobic silica, 0.01 to 10% by weight of a gelling additive, or viscosity-increasing additive, 0.1 to 1% by weight of a preservative, 0 to 1% by weight of a surface -active substance, which, as further component, contains organic insecticides. It is produced by dispersing the individual components successively or together into the water and in this process deaerating the individual components before and/or during the addition or deaerating the dispersion during the individual dispersion steps. The dispersion can be used as insecticide.
