    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved furnace carbon black having a decreased high-load abrasion, by keeping below a specific value the abs. slope of the particle size distribution curve of a furnace carbon black having a specific CTAB value, 24M4-DBP absorption quantity, etc. SOLUTION: The absolute slope AS of the particle size distribution curve shown in the equation of a furnace carbon black is kept below 400,000 nm , the carbon black having a CTAB value of 20-190 m /g and a 24M4-DBP absorption quantity of 40-140 ml/100 g, satisfying the correlation: tan δ0 / tanδ60 >2.76-6.7×10 XCTAB while formulating an SSBR/BR rubber compd., and with a tan δ60 value always lower than that of an ASTM carbon black having the same CTAB surface area and 24M4-DBP absorption quantity. In the equation, Hj represents a frequency of occurrence of particle size Xi, X bar is a particle size of an aggregate corresponding to the average particle wt. of the aggregate, and the total summation is kept in the range of 1-300 nm.

Saze mohou být s výhodou použity jako plnivo pro pneumatiky.
