    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sticky polyolefin composition having improved adhesivity to various substrates by adding a specific adhesion accelerator to a polyolefin containing a curing agent. SOLUTION: This sticky polyolefin composition comprises (A) a polyolefin having at least two ethylenic unsaturated substituents capable of curing the polyolefin and (B) an adhesion accelerator comprising (i) an epoxide-containing compound (preferably 3-glycosidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, etc.), selected from organic compounds and organic silicon compounds and (ii) a compound (preferably dihydrocarveol) having a substituent selected from a silanol (=SiOH), a hydrolyzable silanol precursor and a carbinol (=COH) and a substituent capable of reacting during the curing of the component A. The component B is added in a content of 1.5-7.5 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition. The component i is used in an amount of 10-90 wt.% based on the total amount of the components i and ii.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject copolymer having reduced unpleasant smell by exposing a reaction product of a mixture composed of a specific polyether compound, a specified copolymer and a prescribed hydrosilylation catalyst to a hydrogen gas under a specific condition. SOLUTION: (A) A mixture comprising (i) an alkenyl functional polyether compound, (ii) a polydiorganosiloxane polyorganohydrogensiloxane copolymer (preferably a polydimethylsiloxane-polymethylhydrogensiloxane copolymer containing a trimethylsiloxy end) and (iii) a homogeneous transition metal hydrosilylation catalyst is reacted and (B) the reaction product of the process A is exposed to a hydrogen gas at 20-200 deg.C under 6.9×101 to 1.38×103 kPa for 0.1-48 hours. The preferable amounts of the components in the mixture of the process A are 1-99 wt.% of the component (i) and 1-99 wt.% of the component (ii). The amount of the component (iii) is an amount enough to provide 0.01-100 pts.wt. of a transition metal based on 1,000,000 pts.wt. of the component (i).

SOLUTION: This functionalized polybutylene is obtained by reacting (A) an anhydride-functional polybutylene such as a compound of the formula (Z is a polymer chain or an oligomer chain consisting substantially of a butylene recurring unit) with (B) an allyl-functional compound having one or more hydroxyl-containing groups in the molecule, e. g. a compound of the formula HO-Q-CH2 CH=CH2 (Q is an organic connecting group).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a poluolefin composition capable of exhibiting storing binding forces to various substrates by mixing a polyolefin with a specific organic silicon compound as an adhesive-accelerating agent. SOLUTION: This polyolefin composition comprises (A) at least one polyolefin which contains repeating units derived from at least one olefin and functional groups capable of cross-linking the polyolefin, and (B) an effective amount of an adhesive-accelerating agent. The component B is the reaction product of a polyhydric alcohol of formula I [R1 is a m-valiant hydrocarbon containing no ethylenic unsaturated group or the like; and (m) is an integer of at least 2] with a silane of formula II [R2 is a non-substituted hydrocarbon or the like; (n) is 0 or 1; and X is a hydrolyzable group] or a bissilylalkane of formula III (R3 is an alkylene). The composition shows adhesivity to inorganic and organic substrates.

SOLUTION: This functional polymer containing at least one acryl group in the molecule and expressed by the formula I (Z is polybutylene chain; G is a 2-10C alkylene; L is a 1-18C alkyl or H), the formula II, etc., can be produced by reacting (A) an anhydride functional polybutylene (derivative) (e.g. a compound of the formula III) with (B) an acryl functional compound containing at least one OH, Cl, isocyanate group, epoxy group or amine group in addition to acryl group in the molecule (e.g. a compound of the formula HO-G-OC(O)C(L)=CH2 , a compound of the formula IV or a compound of the formula V).
