The control involves determining an estimated Channel Quality Indicator, CQI, delay, and based on the estimated CQI delay determining if there exists a CQI under-estimation or CQI over-estimation. The control of the impact from high rank interference from transmission to the 4-branch MIMO enabled UE is based on a determined CQI under-estimation or CQI over-estimation.

Abstract: A method of operating a wireless network node may include transmitting a first MIMO downlink communication to a wireless terminal according to a first MIMO rank, and receiving at least one HARQ ACK/NACK, message from the wireless terminal corresponding to the first MIMO downlink communication. A report may be received from the wireless terminal identifying a reported MIMO rank, and a second MIMO rank may be selected for a second MIMO downlink communication responsive to the at least one HARQ ACK/NACK message. The second MIMO downlink communication may be transmitted to the wireless terminal according to the second MIMO rank.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for signaling scheduling information in a spatial multiplexing wireless communications system as well as corresponding methods and apparatus for processing such signaling information, are disclosed. An exemplary method for signaling scheduling information includes scheduling first and second transport blocks for simultaneous transmission during a first transmission interval on first and second data substreams, respectively, and further includes assigning a single re-transmission process identifier for the first transmission interval and transmitting first scheduling information for the first transmission interval. The first scheduling information includes the re transmission process identifier and first disarnbiguation data. The method further includes scheduling at least one of the first and second transport blocks for re transmission during a second transmission interval and transmitting second scheduling information for the second transmission interval, the second scheduling information including the re-transmission process identifier and second disambiguation data. The first and second disambiguation data indicate whether the re-transmission of the retransmitted transport block is scheduled for the first or second data substream and may be used by a receiver to determine the same. Abstract: In MU-MIMO scenarios, a transmitting node (700) receives feedback on a feedback channel from a receiving node (1200) regarding a channel between the transmitting and receiving nodes (700, 1200). The feedback also includes preferences of the receiving node (1200). However, the feedback may not always be useful. For example, the receiving node (1200) may indicate a preferred rank in the feedback that the transmitting node (700) cannot accommodate. To address such issues, mechanisms for the transmitting node (700) to convey its preferences to the receiving node (1200) are proposed. The receiving node (1200), with such knowledge, can provide more useful feedback information to the transmitting node (700).
