Abstract: An electronics unit for wireless transfer of signals, includes an antenna part, an electronics part, and a transmission circuit part. The electronics part is placed on a laminate with at least one substrate layer of a dielectric material. The substrate layer is made of a flexible material and forms a continuous unit, including a first part which supports the electronics part, a second part which supports the antenna part, and a third part which supports the transmission circuit part. The second part of the substrate is formed to shape a convex surface, which supports groups of at least one antenna element. Since the surface is curved, the groups cover different directions.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for controlling the total transmitted power in a mobile telephony system with a multiplicity of carrier waves, a multi-carrier system, in which system each carrier wave included has a defined output power at certain known points in time. The invention is characterized in that it comprises measuring the mean power (Pm) of the combined transmitted signal of the carrier waves in the system at points in time when the respective output power of the carrier waves is defined, calculating the desired mean power of the combined transmitted signal of the carrier waves in the system, and controlling the power of the combined transmitted signal to a desired mean power. The method and arrangement according to the invention can also comprise supplying information about the number of carrier waves (N) in the system, which is utilized in calculating the desired mean power of the combined signal of the carrier waves in the system, and supplying information about the desired output power of each single carrier wave in the system, which is utilized in calculating the desired mean power of the combined signal of the carrier waves in the system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cover ( 200,300,400,500,600 ) for an electronic device ( 100 ), which electronic device comprises a substrate ( 110 ) and at least two electronic components ( 120,130 ), one of which generates an electromagnetic field around itself, where the cover has a first main surface ( 210 ) that faces towards the electronic device, comprises a material that conducts current, and is designed and arranged in such a way in relation to the electronic components that a cooling medium can pass from the first ( 120 ) to the second ( 130 ) electronic component. The invention is characterized in that, by virtue of its shape and its material content, the cover has been given an increased ability to absorb at least part of the electromagnetic field that is generated by at least one of the electronic components. Part of the increased absorbing ability has been achieved by the first main surface of the cover having a shape that minimizes the number of parallel surfaces between the electronic device and the first main surface. The cover can suitably have a number of conical protrusions protruding in the direction towards the electronic components ( 120,130 ).

Abstract: A receiver and a method are applied in a wireless communication system for detecting interference with a coexisting radar system. A signal received from an antenna is fed through an analog part and a subsequent digital part of said receiver. The receiver has an element with a-priori known attenuation values for a predefined set of frequencies, a first branch-off element for deriving a first detection signal from the signal before the element and a second branch-off element for deriving a second detection signal from the signal after the element. The receiver processes the first and the second detection signal such that a difference between the first and second detection signal is comparable with a threshold value, where the threshold value depends on the a-priori known attenuation values of the element. Depending on the comparison result, a frequency is identified as interfering or not a co-existing radar system.
