Abstract:
Method and arrangement in a mobile terminal for predicting future data communication performance of transmissions between a base station and the mobile terminal. The base station and the mobile terminal are comprised in a wireless communication system. The method comprises receiving information from the base station, concerning the relation between distribution characteristics and the performance of established data communications via the base station, comparing the own distribution characteristics of the mobile terminal with the received information, determining the own predicted data communication performance based on the made comparison between the own distribution characteristics and the received information, and displaying the determined own predicted data communication performance on a display of the mobile terminal. Also, a method and arrangement in a base station for assisting a mobile terminal in predicting future data communication performance of transmissions is comprised.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for an improved network capacity when using fixed wireless terminal. The object is achieved by a method in a radio access network node for establishing at least two packet data tunnels for packet transmission, from a fixed wireless terminal in a local area network through a set of cells in a radio access network. The set of cells comprises at least two cells. The fixed wireless terminal is a radio access network node comprised in the radio access network. The radio access network comprises a plurality of potential cells to which the packet data tunnels may be established, whereof said set of cells are part of the potential cells. The method comprising the steps of: Selecting the set of cells to use for a packet transmission, based on radio link quality between the fixed wireless terminal and each of the respective potential cells and establishing the at least two packet data tunnels, one individual packet data tunnel from the fixed wireless terminal through each of the respective cells in the selected set of cells.
Abstract:
Route selection through a wireless mesh network between a source node and a destination node is based on minimizing generated interference in order to increase the capacity of the network. An interference energy associated with transmitting a packet over each hop in multiple routes from the source node to the destination node is determined. The interference energy for each hop is combined to generate a combined interference energy for each route. One of the routes is selected based on the combined interference energy determined for each route.
Abstract:
A method in a user equipment for obtaining a Modulation and Coding Scheme, MCS is provided. The MCS is to be used for a transmission between the user equipment and any one or more out of the network node or a second network node. The user equipment has knowledge about a modulation and coding index table. The user equipment receives (201) one or more offset values from the network node. The user equipment obtains (205) an MCS indicator related to said transmission. The user equipment then obtains (206) the MCS from the modulation and coding index table based on the MCS indicator and the one or more offset values.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein relate to a method in a first communication node (201) for estimating pre-coding weights for transmission on a radio channel (205) between the first node (201) and a second communication node (203) in a communication network (200). The first node (201) comprises at least two transmit antennas. Each transmit antenna is configured to transmit on each of at least two sub-bands. The first node (201) obtains at least two pre-coding reports. Each pre-coding report is for a different time instance. Each pre-coding report comprises pre-coding weights or indications to pre-coding weights. The pre-coding weights are associated with each transmit antenna and with each sub-band. For each transmit antenna, the first node (201) estimates pre-coding weights for at least one of the sub-bands based on the pre-coding weights in the obtained pre-coding reports. The estimated pre-coding weights are different from a most resent of the obtained pre-coding reports.
