Abstract:
A method in a communication device (120) for reducing power consumption in the communication device (120) is provided. The communication device (120) and a base station (110) are comprised in a cellular communications network (100). The communication device obtains information about an antenna beam (117) of the base station (110). The antenna beam (117) will be perceived by the communication device (120) in time periods. The information relates to when in time a time period starts and the duration of the time period. When being out of the time period, the communication device refrains from attempting to receive or transmit data using the antenna beam (117). During the refraining no power is consumed for attempting to receive or transmit data using the antenna beam (117).
Abstract:
A method of providing a localized information service using an infrastructure of a cellular communication network is described. It comprises a service source terminal transmitting a network upload message to the cellular communication network, said network upload message comprising a payload part, a reflection entity of said cellular communication network receiving said network upload message, generating one or more reflection messages comprising said payload part, and sending said one or more reflection messages to a group of service destination terminals that stand in a predetermined spatial relationship with said service source terminal.

Una entidad (30) de red de una red (20) de comunicación celular, que comprende: un receptor (301) para recibir de un terminal (21) de origen del servicio un mensaje (200) de carga en red quecomprende una parte de carga útil, un generador (302) de mensajes para generar uno o varios mensajes (201, 202) de reflexión que comprendendicha parte de carga útil, y un emisor (303) de mensajes para enviar dichos uno o varios mensajes de reflexión a un grupo de terminales(22, 23) de destino del servicio que se encuentran en una relación espacial predeterminada (203) con dichoterminal de origen del servicio, caracterizada por que la entidad (30) de red está asociada con un nodo de dicha red (20) de comunicación celular que sirve un áreapredeterminada, y la entidad (30) de red está situada en una estación base de dicha red (20) de comunicacióncelular.
