Abstract: método para transformar uma superfície oftálmica progressiva. a presente invenção refere-se a um método para transformar uma superfície oftálmica progressiva inicial tendo que ser fabricada por um método de fabricação, método de transformação que compreende: uma etapa de selecionar um método de fabricação que destina-se a ser implantada, na qual o dito método de fabricação introduz um defeito de superfície reproduzível, uma etapa de selecionar um modelo preditivo do dito defeito de superfície reproduzível, uma etapa de selecionar uma superfície oftálmica progressiva inicial s que destina-se a ser fabricada, uma etapa de determinar (s1), durante a qual é determinado, por meios do dito modelo preditivo, um valor de defeito de superfície d que seria introduzido se a superfície oftálmica progressiva inicial s fosse produzida pelo dito método de fabricação, uma etapa de transformação (s2), durante a qual a dita superfície oftálmica progressiva inicial s é transformada em uma superfície oftálmica progressiva transformada s* ao compensar o valor de defeito d determinado durante a etapa (s1), de forma que a subsequente fabricação da superfície oftálmica transformada s* pelo dito método de fabricação torna possível obter uma superfície oftálmica progressiva substancialmente conformando-se à superfície oftálmica progressiva inicial s.
