A method for producing an article which is made of a transparent material and devoid of visible surface lines consists in producing a substrate which is made of a transparent material having a refractive index ns, whose at least main face is machined and polished in such a way that the Ra value thereof ranges from 0.001 to 0.1µm, but has visible surface defects in the form of thin individual scratches, in deposing, a liquid polymerisable composition of a masking coating, whose contact angle with said substrate main face is equal or less than 30° and which is formed by polymerising a masking coating having a refractive index nc such as 0.01

The process comprises, (a) adding to a polymerizable composition containing a component A comprising at least one silane compound containing at least one epoxy group and at least two alkoxy groups directly bonded to the Si atom of the molecule or hydrolysate thereof and a component B comprising fine particles of silica, an effective amount of at least one cationic photopolymerization initiator and an effective amount of at least one thermal polymerization catalyst, (b) coating at least one surface of the substrate with the composition resulting from step (a), (c) submitting the coated substrate to a photopolymerization step for pre-curing the coating layer ; and thereafter, (d) submitting the substrate with the pre-cured coating layer thereon to a thermal curing at a predetermined temperature and for a predetermined time to complete curing of the coating layer.

Una composición de revestimiento curable que comprende: a) al menos un monómero elegido de monómeros de poli(met)acrilato de poliol que tienen de 3 a 6 funciones (met)acrilato, b) al menos un monómero elegido de éteres poliglicidílicos de poliol que tienen al menos tres funciones epoxi, c) al menos un monómero difuncional, d) al menos un fotoiniciador de radicales libres, y e) al menos un fotoiniciador catiónico, en la que la proporción molar de equivalentes de acrilato a equivalentes de epoxi en la composición varía de 3:1 a 4:1, en la que dichos equivalentes de acrilato y epoxi son pesos equivalentes, medidos en gramos/equivalente, y en la que la composición está exenta de sílice y de monómeros portadores de una función silano.

The present invention provides a curable coating composition comprising: a) at least one monomer chosen from polyol poly (meth) acrylate monomers having from 3 to 6 (meth) acrylate functions, b) at least one monomer chosen from polyol polyglycidyl ethers having at least three epoxy functions, c) at least one dysfunctional monomer, d) at least one free-radical photo-initiator, and e) at least one cationic photo-initiator, wherein the molar ratio of acrylate equivalents to epoxy equivalents in the composition ranges from 3:1 to 4:1, and wherein the composition is free of silica and of monomers bearing a silane function. It also provides a method for coating a substrate, such as an ophthalmic lens, with this composition, and to the coating substrate thus obtained.

An abrasion resistant photocurable acrylic coating composition that can provide good adhesion to subsequent coatings deposited thereon, and a hard coated article, especially an optical article such as an ophthalmic lens, comprising a substrate coated with a coating obtained from an abrasion resistant acrylic coating composition providing good subsequent adhesion. Said composition comprises adequate amounts of at least one compound having from 5 to 7 acrylate groups, at least one compound having from 3 to 4 acrylate groups, at least one compound having 2 acrylate groups, at least one diepoxy compound, at least one hydrolyzate of an expoxysilane, and at least one non polymerizable ether compound.

resumo patente de invenção: "método para preparar revestimentos rígidos curáveis por uv antiestáticos em artigos ópticos". a presente invenção refere-se a uma composição fotocurável líquida que compreende: - de 25% a 65% em peso em relação ao peso total da composição de uma mistura de monômeros acrílicos polifuncionais, sendo que a dita mistura consiste em (c) pelo menos um monômero que compreende pelo menos seis grupos funcionais acrílicos e (d) pelo menos um monômero que compreende dois, três ou quatro grupos funcionais (met)acrílicos, preferencialmente dois ou três grupos funcionais acrílicos, - de 25% a 70% em peso em relação ao peso total da composição de pelo menos um solvente orgânico, - de 8,0% a 20,0% em peso, preferencialmente de 8,5% a 12% em peso em relação ao teor de sólidos total da composição de pelo menos um coloide condutor mineral, - de 0,5% a 5% em peso, preferencialmente de 1,0% a 4,0% em peso em relação ao peso total de monômeros funcionais de acrilato (a) e (b) de pelo menos um fotoiniciador de radical, sendo que a dita composição fotocurável não contém qualquer monômero funcional de epóxi. a presente invenção também refere-se a um método para preparar tal composição e a um método para produzir revestimentos rígidos antiestáticos em artigos ópticos pelo uso de tal composição.
