    Abstract: A compliance spring assembly (50, 150) for applying a biasing force to a cam side (24) of a rocker arm (20A, 20B, 20C, 20D) to bias the cam side toward an adjacent cam (14). The compliance spring assembly includes a spring guide (52, 152) having a first end configured to engage the cam side of the rocker arm and a second end configured to slidingly engage a hole (36) in a fixed mount (32) positioned adjacent the cam side of the rocker arm. A compliance spring (62) engages a lower surface of the fixed mount and a spring mount (56, 156) formed on the spring guide. The compliance spring is compressed between the lower surface and the spring mount for apply the biasing force to the cam side of the rocker arm.

    Abstract: A rocker arm assembly includes a rocker arm configured to rotate about a rocker shaft and having a valve side end configured to selectively engage an engine valve, and a cam side end configured to be selectively engaged by a camshaft. A cylinder deactivation (CDA) capsule is coupled to the cam side end and includes an outer body having at least one slot formed therein, the outer body configured to be coupled to the rocker arm, and an inner plunger at least partially received within the outer body and having at least one outwardly extending tab. The inner plunger is configured to translate within the outer body, and the at least one outwardly extending tab is received within the at least one slot and a groove formed in the rocker arm to facilitate preventing rotation of the inner plunger and outer body relative to the rocker arm.

    Abstract: An exhaust valve rocker arm assembly operable in a drive mode and an engine braking mode includes a rocker shaft, a rocker arm, a hydraulic lash adjuster assembly, an accumulator assembly and a locking pin. The rocker shaft has an oil gallery defined thereon. The rocker arm receives the rocker shaft and is configured to rotate around the rocker shaft. The rocker arm has an oil feed channel that is fluidly connected to the oil gallery. The rocker arm further defines an engine brake relief hold and an accumulator relief hole. The accumulator assembly is disposed in the rocker arm and is fluidly coupled to the hydraulic lash adjuster through an engine brake relief hole. The locking pin assembly is disposed in the rocker am and is selectively movable by a high pressure fluid from a closed position to an open position.

The rocker arm assembly includes a rocker arm configured to rotate about a rocker shaft, and a reverse reset capsule assembly movable between (i) a locked position configured to perform one of an LIVC operation and an iEGR operation, and (ii) an unlocked position that does not perform the LIVC operation or the iEGR operation. An actuator assembly is configured to selectively move the reverse reset capsule assembly between the locked and unlocked positions.
