    Abstract: To permit individual marking of each of the tubes (10) of a steam generator, it is proposed to mark these tubes with the aid of a binary bar code (12a) formed from circular impressions (24) and absences of impressions. The impressions, formed without removal of material, allow reading of the bar code with the aid of a Foucault-current probe. The impressions (24) can be made on the exterior of the tubes (10), at the time of their production, or on the interior of the tubes after they have been fixed to the tube plate (16). A learning process then makes it possible to assign to each bar code a given position on the tube plate.

    Abstract: The process comprises introducing the tubes in the form of horizontal layers (the generator can be positioned horizontally for this purpose), installing anti-vibratory bars on the layers, placing weights on the bars and checking the clearances between the tubes and the bars, so that the tubes falling outside the accepted tolerances can be replaced. This is followed by the installation of the layer of tubes immediately above it. This procedure is repeated until all the layers have been installed. The invention is used in the steam generators of nuclear power stations.

    Abstract: In a heat exchanger, such as a steam generator equipping a nuclear power station, the intermediate inwardly curved parts (14c) of the U-tubes (14) grouped into a bundle forming parallel layers are maintained by antivibration bars (36a, 36b', 36c') placed between each pair of adjacent layers, these bars being interconnected outside the bundle by connecting pins (38a, 38b, 38c). To prevent the fly-off of the assembly formed by the antivibration bars and the connecting pins, at least part of the bars (36a, 36b', 36c') are placed in slots formed in an elongated structure (40) fixed to the spacing plate (34a) closest to the inwardly curved part of the tubes.
