Abstract: Method for removing material deposits, in form of layer, from surface of circuit or nuclear reactor component comprises submitting layer to mechanical or hydraulic action so as to separate particles from the layer and take them off with a cleaning liquid; said method involving preparation of cleaning liquid dispersion containing demineralised water, at least one basic substance, and at least one dispersing agent in proportions which can regulate pH; circulation of dispersion in contact with said layer; removal of dispersion and material deposits; and filtration of dispersion to remove deposits. Also claimed is use of said method in cleaning insides of pipes in nuclear reactors.
