Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide novel signs and visual displays produced by different behavior of liquids applied to hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces on patterned surfaces. It is also an object of the present invention to provide articles baring logos and alphanumeric text produced by application of liquids to patterned material surfaces. There is further provided a method for producing novel signs and visual displays by producing patterned hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces. Also provided are processes for producing patterned surfaces.
