Abstract: Disclosed is an electrophotographic recording material comprising a photoconductive double layer disposed on an electrically conductive support, which double layer comprises a precoat layer and a photoconductor-containing topcoat layer. The interface region of the precoat and topcoat layers defines a mixing zone into which one or more of the constituents of the separate layers have diffused. A process for producing the electrophotographic recording material is also disclosed.

Abstract: Copolymers comprising from 5 to 50 % by weight of one or more glycidyl esters of saturated aliphatic C4-C30-monocarboxylic acids containing a tertiary or quaternary alpha -carbon atom and from 95 to 5 % by weight of at least two olefinically unsaturated, copolymerisable monomers, of which at least one contains at least one carboxyl group. The copolymers are characterised by an OH number of from 50 to 250 mg of KOH/g, a solution viscosity of from 15 to 2000 mPa s (50 % strength solution at 23 DEG C), a mean molecular weight (weight average Mw) of less than 8600 g/mol and a nonuniformity of less than 3.4. The copolymers according to the invention are particularly suitable as binder components for high-solids coating compositions.

Abstract: An electrophotographic recording material is described for preparing a printing form or a printed circuit, comprising a layer support and a photoconductive layer comprised of photoconductor, sensitizer and/or activator, if appropriate further additives which improve surface texture and/or adhesion and a high molecular weight binder which is soluble in an alkaline aqueous or alcoholic solution and the photoconductive layer of which recording material contains as binder the product of reacting a sulfonyl isocyanate of the general formula R-SO2-NCO in which R is alkenyl having up to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl which can be substituted by alkyl having up to 3 carbon atoms, with a hydroxyl-containing polymer in a molar ratio within the range of (0.5 to 1):1.
