Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder which is self-cross-linkable, cures through the existing functional groups by the action of a known curing a gent and is useful for water-based coating preparations by using a specified aminourethane. SOLUTION: This binder comprises an aminourethane represented by formula IV [wherein R is OH or a group represented by formula V (wherein PI is a divalent residue of a polyisocyanate; and R is a residue of an aliphatic alcohol or the like); R ' is R ; and y is 1-10] and comprising structural units derived from a polyamine represented by formula I [wherein R is an alkylene; R is H or a (hydroxy) 1-8C alkyl; R is R or may be combined with R to form a cyclic group, or when R is H, it may be a specified residue; A is a chemical bond or a group represented by the formula:-(R -NH)r -R -NH-(wherein r is 0-6)] and structural units derived from an oligomer or polymer compound having at least one terminal 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane group and represented by formula II [where in R is a residue represented by formula III (wherein X is H or CH3 ; u is 0-5; and V is 1-20) or the like; and z is 1-5].

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a novel amino urethane by reacting a specified polyamide with an oligomer or polymer compound having at least one terminal 2-oxo-1,3- dioxolane group in the presence of optionally a chain transfer agent. SOLUTION: This amino urethane comprises structural units each of which is derived from a polyamine (α) represented by the formula (wherein R is a divalent hydrocarbon residue, especially a 2-18 C linear or branched alkylene; R is hydrogen, especially a 1-8 alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl with a 1-8 C alkyl; R is R , provided that they may be combined with each other to form a cyclic group, etc.) and an oligomer or polymer (β) having at least one terminal 2- oxo-1,3-dioxolane group and is produced by reacting polyamine (α) with the oligomer or polymer (β) in the presence of optionally a chain transfer agent.

Abstract: The invention relates to aminourethanes essentially composed of structural units derived from (.alpha.) polyamines of the general formula (I) (I) and of structural units derived from (.beta.) oligomeric or polymeric compounds which contain at least one terminal 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane group. The invention further relates to a process for preparing these aminourethanes and to their use in particular in paint formulations. The aminourethanes according to the invention are suitable in particular for use as curable water-dispersible binders in particular for cationic electrocoating.

Abstract: of the disclosures HOE 89/F 008 A process for the continuous oligomerization of hexafluoropropene oxide A continuous process for the preparation of perfluorinated carbonyl fluorides from hexafluoropropene oxide (HFPO), in which HFPO is continuously oligomerized in a catalyst solution in devices which allow separation of the heavy product phase from the catalyst phase during the reaction, is described. Different oligomer distributions can be achieved by choice of the catalyst and different operating temperatures. The reaction itself takes place always in the substantial absence of the product which is formed, and achieves a considerable saving in time.

Abstract: Amino-urethanes (I) claimed are of formula R3-N(Re)-A-R1-NH-C(O)-O-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2- R-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-O-C(O)-NH- R1-A-N(R2)R3 R is residue of a diglycidyl ether or ester, or 2-18 alkylene gp.; R1 is opt. branched 2-18C alkylene; R2 is H, 1-8Calkyl, or 1-8C hydroxyalkyl; R3 is R2, or R3 with R2 can form cyclic ring, or, if R2 is H then R3 can be at least one gp. of formula (a) -C(O)-O-CH2-CH(R4)-CH2- (R-CH2-CH(R4)-CH2-OmB-(R4)n R4 is OH or -CONH-PI-NHCO R6; B is residue of a polyol; m is 1-3; n is 1-6; and PI is residue of a polyisocyanate and R6 is residue of (cylco)aliphatic, or alkylaromatic alcohol, an aminoalcohol, ketoxime, or a CH- or NH- acidic cpd.: b) R3 is gp. of formula (I) R5 is H or R4; R7 is 1-8Calkyl; and s is 1-6; c) -C(O)-NH-PI-NH-C(O)-O-B-d)R8-CHOH-CH2-O-CO-; e) R8-CHOH-CH2-; R8 is H, 1-18C alkyl, or residue of a glycidyl ester or ether; or f) PI'NHCO- PI' is residue of a partly capped polyisocyanate; and A 75 chemical bond or -R1NH)r-R1NH- r is 0-6. R, viz. residues of a bisphenol diglycidyl ether opt. linked by residues of a diamine, diol, dicarboxylic acid, di-isocyanate, etc. Pref. (II) is bicyclic carbonate of specified formuls esp. derived from polyglycidyl ether of a polyphenol, or a epoxide-cyclic carbonate.

Abstract: Flame-repellant linear polyesters are obtained by incorporating by condensation phosphorus-compounds having the formula O &uarr& HO-P-R-COOH, ¦ R1 wherein R and R1 are organic radicals which may also contain hereto atoms into the linear polyesters, preferably those from terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. These polyesters are materials of which flame-repellent filaments, fibers, sheets, press-moulded and injection-moulded articles may be made. Products of the invention can be used whereever especially acute risks of ignition and fire exist.

Abstract: PROCESS FOR PREPARING 1,2-OXA-PHOSPHOLANES of the disclosure: A process for the preparation of 2,5-dioxo-1,2-oxa-phospholanes having general formula (I) (I) wherein R1 represents an alkyl group being optionally substituted and having up to 18 carbon atome, a cycloalkyl group having up to 8 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having up to 8 carbon atoms, an aryl group having up to 14 carbon atoms being possibly substituted by lower alkyl groups, by alkoxy groups, by halogen or by alkylated or dialkylated amino groups, or which represents an aralkyl group having up to 15 carbon atoms and being possibly substituted in the same way as the aryl group, wherein R2 stands for a lower alkyl group or hydrogen and R3 stands for a lower alkyl radical, a phenyl radical being possibly substituted by halogen or lower alkyl groups, for a benzyl radical or for hydrogen, which comprises reacting in a single reaction vessel a selected dihalogenophospine with an equimolar quantity of a selected .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated acid and an equivalent quantity of a selected acid compound such as acetic acid,propionic acid, sulfonic acid, dimethyl-phosphinic acid, methyl-ethyl-phosphinic acid and methyl-ethyl-phosphinic acid - isobutyl ester. The process is a one-vessel reaction accomplished without the isolation and purification of intermediate products and,in addition to the primary product produces,other useful reaction products. - 1a
