Abstract:
The softening of textiles by treating them with an aqueous solution of tetrahydropyrimidinium salts of the formula
IN WHICH R means alkyl or alkenyl of 7 to 21 carbon atoms, R means alkyl or alkenyl of 8 to 22 carbon atoms or an Nacylaminopropyl radical of the formula
Abstract:
Salts of alkyl- and/or alkenylsuccinic acid half-amides The invention relates to salts of alkyl- and alkenylsuccinic acid half-amides of the formulae and/or ( Ia) ( Ib) in which R1 is C6-C100-alkyl or C6-C100-alkenyl (straight-chain or branched), R2 is a deoxysaccharide radical which is derived from mono-, di- or oligosaccharides, R3 is hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl or R2, and X+ is a proton, an alkali metal ion, the equivalent of an alkaline earth metal ion, or an ammonium ion of the formula N+HR4R5R6 (II) or of the formula N+HR2R3R4 (III), in which R4, R5 and R6 independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C20-alkyl, a hydroxyl group, C1-C6-hydroxyalkyl or C3-C6-polyhydroxyalkyl and R2, R3 and R4 have the abovementioned meanings. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the preparation of the salts of alkyl- and/or alkenylsuccinic acid half-amides, which comprises reacting an alkyland/or alkenylsuccinic acid anhydride with carbohydrates containing amino groups in the presence of basic compounds.
Abstract:
Inorganic per-compounds-containing oxidizing, bleaching and washing compositions having a content of acylated oxamides as activators for the inorganic per-compounds. Said activators permit better utilization of the active oxygen while securing good stability to storage.
Abstract:
HOE 80/F 931 of the disclosure: A detergent composition is described which is particularly suitable for the mechanical cleaning of hard surfaces, in particular glass, porcelain and the like, in a cleaning liquor which is within the alkaline range. This detergent composition is composed of A) a nonionic surfactant selected from the group comprising polyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ethers containing ethylene oxide and propylene oxide units, polyglycol ether formals containing ethylene oxide units and, if appropriate, propylene oxide units, or polyalkylene glycol dialkyl ethers containing ethylene oxide units and, if appropriate, propylene oxide units, and B) a selected quaternary ammonium compound as a cationic surfactant. These compositions are particularly suitable for industrial crockery and bottle washing plants which are operated within the highly alkaline pH range and with vigorous mechanical agitation of the liquor.

Abstract:
Detergent for dish washing machines contains a nonionic polyglycol tert.-butyl ether (I) of the formula R-O(XO)n-Bu-t (in which R is a 6-22C alk(en)yl gp., pref. 8-14C alkyl gp., X is a 2-3C alkylene gp. n= 5-50, pref. 5-30), pref. in an amt. of 0.5-20 wt.%. (I) form very little foam in aq. soln. and can be used as foam suppressants for nonionic and cationic cpds. They are stable in alkaline soln., even in the presence of caustic alkali, and have excellent detergent and wetting properties. In an example an alkaline detergent consisted of 2.0 (wt.) pts. (I) (in which R is 10-12C alkyl, X is -CH2CH2- and n=10), 41.5 pts. Na2SiO3, 35.0 pts. Na5P3O10, 1.5 pts. Na dichloroisocyanurate and 20.0 pts. Na2CO3.

Detergent for mejtals contains a nonionic polyglycol tert. - butyl ether (I) of formula R-O(XO)n-Bu-t (in which R is a 6-22C alk(en)yl gp., pref. 8-14C alkyl gp.; X is a 2-3C alkylene gp.; n=5-50, pref. 5-30), pref. in an amt. of 0.5 20 wt. %. (I) can be used in compsns. applied to metals by dipping or spraying opt. in conjunction with other nonionic, a cationic or anionic surfactants and other additives. Concns. of 1-10 wt. % are esp. suitable. (I) form very little foam in aq. soln. and can be used as foam suppressants for nonionic and cationic cpds. They are stable in alkaline soln., even in the presence of caustic alkali, and have excellent detergent and wetting properties.
