Abstract: Surface-active cpds. with a low foaming tendency are prepd. by reacting 1 mole of a cpd. of formula: H2N-R(NH-R)xNH2 (where R is 2-3C alkylene; x = 1-4) with 5-50 (esp. 10-40) moles of ethylene oxide and then with 5-100 (esp. 40-70) moles of propyelen oxide and/or butylene oxide. The products can be used as foam suppressors for nonionic and cationic detergents and as low-foam wetting agents and detergents.

Abstract: In the process described, the oil/gas-containing subterranean formations are contacted with a selected fluoro-surfactant as a stimulant. A particularly preferred stimulant consists essentially of the said fluoro-surfactants and of non-fluorinated, nonionic surfactants from the group of the alkoxypolyethylene glycol ethers and from the group of the alkylphenoxypolyethylene glycol ethers, the three components being present in a weight ratio of preferably about 1:1:1.
