    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and economically synthesize a heterocyclic ring type carbene as a catalyst for carbon-carbon boning reaction. SOLUTION: This catalyst contains a complex having the formula, [La Mb Xc ] (A) n (wherein M stands for the same or different elements selected from among Pd, Rh, Ni, Ru, and Co; X is the same or different ligands selected from charged or uncharged unidentate ligands or multidentate ligands bound to a center atom; A for chemical substances equivalent to univalent anions or multi-valent anions; b for natural number from 1 to 3; a for natural number from 1 to 5×b; c zero or natural number from 1 to 4×b; n for zero or natural number from 1 to 6, provided c+n>=0; L is the same or different single-ring monocarbene having 5, 6, or 7 ring-composing atoms and at least one nitrogen atom neighboring carbene-carbon, or dicarbenes constituted of two of such monocarbenes mutually bonded by cross-linking; and the ring-system carbenes do not include imidazole and pyrazole compounds).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing aluminium salts of cyclic phosphinic acids.     Abstract: Prepn. of multinuclear aromatic cpds. comprises reacting an aromatic boron cpd. with an aromatic halogen cpd. or an aromatic perfluoroalkylsulphonate in the presence of a base, a Ni or Pd catalyst, a phosphorus contg. ligand and a polyhydric alcohol, sulphoxide or sulphone. Pref. the polyhydric alcohol, sulphoxide or sulphone are water soluble. The phosphorus contg. ligand is pref. water soluble and of the triaryl-phosphane, tri-n-alkyl-phosphane, dialkylaryl-phosphane, alkyldiaryl-phosphane or heteroaryl-phosphane type which may also include linkages via one or more metal atoms, phosphite, phosphinic acid ester, phosphonic acid ester, phosphole, dibenzophosphole and phosphorus atom contg. cyclic or oligocyclic and polycyclic cpds. The base is an alkali metal fluoride, alkali/alkali earth metal hydroxide, carbonate, acetate or alcoholate, alkali metal bicarbonate, or an amine. Aromatic chloro cpd. is esp. chlorobenzonitrile and aromatic boron cpd. is esp. p-toluene-boric acid.
