    Abstract: The electrolytic cell having sacrificial anodes, which is provided with a feed line and a discharge line for electrolyte, comprises, stacked in a container (1), electrodes (4, 5) which are separated from one another by spacers (6) which form an electrode gap (7). The stack is provided with a guiding device (8) in which the individual electrodes (4, 5) are arranged slidingly. However, it is possible to produce fluorinated acrylic acids by electrochemically detaching halogen atoms from halogenated fluoropropionic acids and their derivatives. For this purpose, the acids or their derivatives are electrolysed in a solution containing water at the temperature of from -10 DEG C to the boiling point of the electrolysis liquid.
