Abstract:
PHENETHYLAMIDE DERIVATIVES WHICH ARE N-SUBSTITUTED WITH T-ALKOXYCARBONYL, 5-OXO-2-PYRROLIDINE CARBONYL, PHENYLSULFONYL OR NITROPHENYLTHIO AND ARE USEFUL AS HYPOTENSIVE, ANTIPYRETIC AND ANTI-PARKINSON AGENTS.
Abstract:
A process for preparing 3,4-dihydroxy phenylalanine derivatives including novel 3,4-dihydroxy phenylalanine derivatives wherein the phenyl ring contains an additional substituent which can be hydroxy, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, nitro or amino groups from a mono hydroxy phenyl alanine including novel intermediates in this process. The novel 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine derivatives are useful as blood pressure lowering agents and as anti-parkinson agents.
Abstract:
Benzene-ring substituted (2-methylhydrazino)-methyl-benzene compounds and intermediates therefore are described. The former compounds are useful as cytostatic agents and, particularly, inhibit the growth of transplantable tumors in both mice and rats. Thus, they are active, for example, against Walker tumors, Ehrlich carcinoma and Ehrlich ascites carcinoma.
Abstract:
Phenylalanine derivatives which are N-substituted with a carbonyl, thio, or sulfonyl substituent useful as hypotensive, anti-pyretic and anti-parkinson agents and processes for their preparation from phenylalanine including intermediates in these processes.
Abstract:
A PROCESS FOR ISOLATING DOPA IN SUBSTANTIALLY PURE FORM FROM AN AQUEOUS MEDIUM CONTAINING WATER INSOLUBLE IMPURITIES BY FORMING A COMPLEX OF L-DOPA WITH A BORIC ACID OR BORATES SALT.
Abstract:
BENZENE-RING SUBSTITUTED (2-METHYLHYDRAZINO)-METHYLBENZENE COMPOUNDS AND INTERMEDIATES THEREFOR ARE DESCRIBED. THE FORMER COMPOUNDS ARE USEFUL AS CYTOSTATIC AGENTS AND, PARTICUARLY, INHIBIT THE GROWTH OF TRANSPLANTABLE TUMORS IN BOTH MICE AND RATS. THUS, THEY ARE ACTIVE, FOR EXAMPLE, AGAINST WALKER TUMORS, EHRLICH CARCINOMA AND EHRLICH ASCITES CARCINOMA.
Abstract:
3,5-BIS-(BENZYLOXY)-4-METHOXY-BENZOIC ACID ALKYL ESTERS, ARE PREPARED, FOR EXAMPLE FROM THE CORRESPONDING 3,4,5-TRIS-(SUBSTITUTED-SULFONYLOXY)-BENZOIC ACID ALKYL ESTER. THE END PRODUCTS ARE USEFUL IN THE PREPARATION OF 3,5-DIHYDROXY-4-METHOXY-PHENYLALANINES HAVING HYPOTENSIVE ACTIVITY.
