Abstract: This invention relates to a lamination apparatus and in particular to a dual belt driven, continuous pressure lamination apparatus that utilizes pressure , heat and cooling to bond at least two substrates (plies) with an adhesive between the layers of the substrates. The pressure laminator of the present invention has been specifically designed to permit the permanent joining of at least two fabric substrates with an adhesive between the fabric substrates, with little or no shrinkage occurring during the lamination process. The resulting non-woven fabric advantageously has the appearance of a woven fabric, but has superior strength characteristics there over. The pressure laminator of the present invention can have other uses, for example, printed circuit board substrate manufacture, and the like, as will be appreciated by those having ordinary skill in this art.

Abstract: Es ist eine senkrecht hängende Baukonstruktionsabdeckung offenbart. Die Abdeckung besteht aus einer Vielzahl zusammengesetzter Bahnen, die an einer oberen Führungsschienenanordnung hängen. Jede zusammengesetzte Bahn kann durch ein Streifenverfahren hergestellt sein. Jede Bahn umfasst einen Materialstreifen (z.B. durchscheinendes Gewebe) und mindestens eine mit dem Materialstreifen gekoppelte Lamelle (z.B. bogenförmiges lichtundurchlässiges Material). Beispielsweise können in einer Ausführungsform die Bahnen erste und zweite Lamellen aufweisen, welche jeweils mit einem Zwischenmaterialstreifen auf beiden Seiten des Zwischenmaterialstreifens entlang dessen sich senkrecht erstreckender Seitenbereiche gekoppelt sind. Die ersten und zweiten Lamellen weisen vorzugsweise jeweils eine komplementäre gekrümmte Oberfläche auf, so dass, wenn die zusammengesetzten Bahnen mit der oberen Führungsschienenanordnung gekoppelt sind, die erste Lamelle einer ersten zusammengesetzten Bahn mit der zweiten Lamelle einer zweiten, benachbarten zusammengesetzten Bahn gekoppelt oder mit dieser verschachtelt ist.

Abstract: A covering (100) for an architectural-structure covering is disclosed. The covering is formed from a plurality of assembled strips of fabric material (150) joined together. A first slat (152) may be coupled to the inner surface of the fabric material adjacent the top end thereof, the first slat having a first contact surface (153). A second slat (154) may be coupled to the outer surface of the fabric material (160) adjacent the bottom end thereof, the second slat (154) having a second contact surface (155). The first contact surface (153) of the first slat (152) of a first assembled strip is preferably nested with the second contact surface (155) of the second slat (154) of an adjoining second assembled strip (150). The second contact surface (155) of the second slat (154) may be partially covered by the piece of fabric material (160).

Abstract: A covering for a vertically-suspended architectural-structure covering is disclosed. The covering (120) is formed from a plurality of assembled vanes (150) suspended from a headrail assembly (110). Each assembled vane (150) may be made via a strip process. Each vane (150) including a strip of material (180) (e.g., translucent fabric), and at least one slat (e.g., arcuate opaque material) coupled to the strip of material. For example, in one embodiment, the vanes (150) may include first and second slats (152, 154) coupled to an intermediate strip of material (180) on either side of the intermediate strip of material along the vertically extending side portions thereof, respectively. The first and second slats (152, 154) preferably each include a complementary curved surface so that when the assembled vanes (180) are coupled to the headrail assembly (110), the first slat (152) of a first assembled vane is coupled to or nested with the second slat (154) of a second, adjacent assembled vane (180).
