Abstract:
A control system for a vertical vane covering for use in an architectural opening includes a headrail having an upwardly opening channel in which a plurality of carriers are disposed for sliding movement along the length of the headrail. The headrail is of a thin profile with only a minority portion of the carriers being positioned within the hollow interior of the headrail. The carriers are interconnected by a scissors-type linkage to effect uniform separation of the vanes when the covering is expanded across an architectural opening and each carrier includes a rack and pinion system for rotating the vanes suspended thereby. Unique mountings for the endmost vanes allow the endmost vanes to cover the ends of the headrail.

Se proporciona un sistema (22) de control para una cubierta (20) de hojas verticales para uso en una abertura arquitectonica que utiliza un dintel (30) que tiene un canal de abertura hacia arriba en el cual se coloca en una pluralidad de soportes (32) para movimiento deslizable a lo largo de la longitud del dintel. El dintel es de perfil delgado con unicamente una porcion minoritaria de los soportes colocados dentro del interior hueco del dintel. Los soportes están interconectados por una articulacion (34) tipo tijera para llevar a cabo una separacion uniforme de la hojas (24) cuando la cubierta se expande a través de una abertura arquitectonica y cada soporte incluye un sistema de piñon y cremallera para hacer girara las hojas suspendidas en el mismo. Los montajes (324) unicos por hojas que se encuentran en los extremos permite que las hojas de los extremos cubra los extremos (76) del dintel.
